Benny traded

Yeah his stock had fallen for sure. His baseball ref. similarity scores are not inspiring right now - Allen Craig, anyone?

But, that won't matter a single iota if he rejuvenates his career in KC - people will act like the Sox traded a sure thing.

Nerd stats indicate the guy is losing foot speed at an accelerated rate despite being so young.
Not enough speed now to play CF or RF
Not nearly enough pop to be the everyday power-hitting Fenway LFer, historically a position manned by a big bat/no glove player.

He's league average at best and these types are a dime a dozen.
His lack of pop in non Fenway parks is trending negatively with the potential to be a long term issue.
Now factor in Kauffman Stadium..... a larger more symmetric park without a green wall that turned his routine fly balls into gift doubles.
Then there is the new deadened ball that will take 5-10 feet off his fly balls.
He'll likely need to reinvent himself
He should toss his launch angle manual into the garbage bin
His new goal should be to morph into a big park gap hitter.
