My 14 year old daughter has invited her friend (a nominal Jets fan who doesn't know a damn thing about football) over to watch the game. My daughter has really gotten into The Patriots this season and I will do anything so this continues, so I'll put up with the friend. I knew she was hooked...
It probably would have been the Bills but I'm still holding a grudge from 1999 when they benched Doug Flutie for the playoffs after he got them them into the playoffs.
I'm a bit nervous. I am kind of avoided the pregame stuff because I am so sick of this spygate nonsense. This will be so great when (knock wood) they win. I really am hoping for a blow out. It will be much more relaxing that way.
Ditka is really just doing the same thing as the 72 Dolphins are doing, protecting his turf. A lot of people think the 85 Bears were the best team ever, if (when) the Pats win the Super Bowl they are moved out of that spot.

Re: Not so "idle thoughts".....
I think first and foremost the important thing is that Tom Brady is a winner. That being said it has been very satisfying to watch him put up the numbers this season knowing that it was killing all the Peyton Manning supporters who pointed to Manning's stats...
If I were them I would totally shut it down next week. Why prove to your team that they suck. Let them think that they are losing big time because that was their choice. I would love to see Eli Manning making the Eli Manning face and the players pointing fingers at each other on the side lines...
The Patriots have just about ruined me for watching other teams. The play is so not up to the standards I've grown use to I find I can hardly bare to watch. I was going back and forth between the games and barely saw any halfway decent play.
I know I should be pulling for the Giants so they...
