They obviously wanted an athletic tackle. Latham has been named among the top tackles so it's not that huge a reach if they like him.

For once, in a draft, we did the right thing. The expected thing. KISS- keep it simple stupid. I’m the most cynical person on earth and I like this Maye pick. I have a lot of optimism about this kid. He’s a natural. Looks like a stud QB right out of Hollywood casting. Good work Pats new regime!
