NE's offensive roster is a full of holes and they can either take the A quarterback, or trade down and take the B quarterback plus get extra picks to also get an A wide receiver/tackle plus more.
I still think the A QB is more valuable than anything you can get for him.

Don’t trade down because you are afraid to make the pick. That’s when you’ll get in trouble.

If you have to sit him a year because you don’t think the roster is optimal do it. I prefer that than passing on the guy because of the roster.

In contention for worst signing of last year’s free agency. He led the league in sacks allowed despite only playing 11 games worth of snaps.
Yeah, a guy I work with is a Titans fan and says this guy is the worst LT he's ever seen. Makes no effort, just literally goes through the motions and collects his check

It’s hard ti disagree with that.
What do you think of the arm talent and winning pedigree of McCarthy?

Trading down would be a mistake! IF they can get him in round 2, sure give it a shot. But trading down and passing on Harrison would be a mistake.

Harrison Jr is the best player in this draft. Take him and don't look back. He will make whoever is throwing him the ball look better. I'm not sold on Trubisky em, I mean Maye. Another one of these QBs nobody ever heard of until AFTER he was done playing. I think Williams and Maye go 1 and 2. PFF has Daniels ranked as the 22nd best prospect.

Penix's arm motion will get pretty much every ball batted down in the NFL. Both he and Nix have been in college since 2017! 7 years of college down the drain!

I would take Joe Milton in the 4th or 5th rd. It's a crap shoot at best, I don't see any of the QBs as "special" at list Milton has all the physical traits you want.

Hmm.. Kenny Pickett traded to the Eagles.. There's a surprise.

Vikings positioning for a trade up? Trading #11 plus #23 and a future 1st for #3?

Unless the Pats absolutely love Maye, they should make that trade.

If Minnesota does want to trade up to 3 they better absolutely love both Maye and Daniels. Trading up to #2 makes more sense, then they’ll have their choice between the two.

The thing is I think the Commanders are in love with Daniels.

Yeah.. 12 sacks allowed is pretty bad.. Jonah Williams was pretty bad as well.

In 2021
49ers got: first-round pick (No. 3 overall)

Dolphins got:
2021 first-round pick (No. 12 overall)
2022 first-round pick (No. 29 overall)
2022 third-round pick (No. 101 overall)
2023 first-round pick (No. 29 overall)

In 2024?
Vikings get: 3
Pats get: 11, 23, and a 1st 2025. A 4th this year would be icing on the cake.

I trust AVP’s and McAdoo’s QB scouting skills so if “their guy” is there at 3, I’m still taking the QB. If Daniels/Maye aren’t significantly higher McCarthy/Nix (would be surprising but possible), I’d pull the trigger on that trade, assuming that they don’t also get a good offer from someone in the top 7-8.

This year's 23rd pick would still have more value than a 2025 or 2026 pick.

The only problem I see with trading down to 11 is that both Odunze and McCarthy are likely off the board by 11..

Mark Daniels hit the nail on the head.

The question is whether they are in love with Maye or not and whether they think he is significantly better than the QB they can get at #11. Staying at #3 just to take whoever is left between Maye and Daniels (most likely Maye at this point) but not loving either when they can get both Vikings' first is almost as stupid as the 49ers giving up three firsts for whichever is the best is left at #3 in 2021.

To pick up an extra first round picks or two for a team with so many holes is not a bad thing if you aren't in love with both Daniels and Maye. Bad teams take QBs high in the first just to take them high. Look how many top 5 picks they wasted on QBs.

If they are convinced both Daniels or Maye are likely to be franchise top 5 or low top 10 QBs, then don't make the trade. If they have questions about the one most likely to fall, then trade out and start to build a strong foundation of players. With the 11th, 23rd, and 34th this year, they could potentially get an impact receiver, tackle, and QB.

They can do what the Dolphins did. They traded down from 3 to 12 and picked up two more first rounders and then traded back up to get Waddle while still keeping those other two first rounders.

It will be interesting to see if the Minny makes some kind of amazing offer to move up into the top 3.

Most of the Mocks I'm seeing have Nabers, Odunze and McCarthy gone by pick 11.
