NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Divisional game: KC @ Buffalo

Yeh next week will be totally different. I can't see them just going up and down the field.

The big question is....which Lamar shows up? If it's the guy from the first half against Houston, they may not get an opportunity to rebound in the second half.
I don't think it matters. I think he can be average and still win. Bills absolutely gashed them on the ground tonight.

Bills definitely win this one if they were healthy. Just too many players down on defense.

Agree other than I don’t actually hate Kelce (podcast is solid) or Swift (wife and daughters would disown me) , I just get sick of seeing her on football games. Though the inevitable breakup will be AWKWARD.
They may stay together. TS hasn't had a real man til now..... she's hooked.

They took out Buffalo, so now I'll be fine if Baltimore knocks out KC. I'd prefer to keep Reid and Mahomes away from Belichick/Brady's respective legacies, so as much as it pains me to say it, I'll be fine with Harbaugh diluting the pool, primarily because I have my doubts about whoever comes out of the NFC.
I’ll give the 49ers a chance against Baltimore in a rematch. But Detroit would get massacred by Baltimore.

If you are referring to the Colts playoff game, it was Reche Caldwell who dropped the ball...
Reche actually dropped 2 easy balls. One in the end zone.

Also, poor Reche was totally mugged on a play in the end zone right after his drop. Was a clear and easy PI, you can see it here (in the same game, Hobbs was called for a PI in the end zone when he didn't even touch the WR, and Troy Brown was called for a ridiculous OPI that took the Patriots out of FG range):

OT here. Everyone talks about Jim Harbaugh. But as much as I hate to admit it, John is a darn good coach. Don't like his whining sometimes. But he is very underrated.

Now I'll go throw up.
Can you talk up John around here? I don't think you can.

Just a few facts about him: until this weekend, he had only won 1 playoff game in 10 years. I've read that this sort of thing is inexcusable.

Also, after winning the Super Bowl in '13, he went 3 straight seasons without making the playoffs. The sure sign of someone reeling. He even went 5-11 in one of those years.

Not a good coach.

That was painful to read!! Seriously, that game ranked right up there with the Raiders playoff game (phantom roughing the passer call on Sugar Bear Hamilton) as the two worst reffed playoff games I've ever seen. What you described about the mugging Caldwell got the play after he dropped the pass was spot on as well as the non-contact DPI on Hobbs who was called for "face guarding" when that penalty was taken out of the rulebook a couple of years prior. That OPI was when the tide started to turn against the Patriots in that game as they were getting ready to BLOW OUT the Colts if the refs hadn't stuck it to them on that BS call.

To be fair, he had to go against BB and Brady combo team in those years so...maybe he was just unlucky?

KC back in now their 6th straight AFCCG....

Technical Correction:

Face Guarding was NEVER a penalty at NFL or even college levels.

it was a listed rule, reportedly rarely used, in HS football, but was officially deleted in 2017.

IIRC Ellis Hobbs is the only player to ever receive a written league apology for a bad call.

Oh yeah? 1985 Patriots.

3 road playoff wins!!!!
Not only that, they exorcised lots of demons that year, Jets on the road, Raiders on the road ( remember Ben Drieth) and finally winning in the Orange Bowl which had been a house of horrors for years.. only to run into the '85 Bears who stomped everyone on their way to 46-10 with what might be the greatest defense of all time...

In retrospect, everyone who was claiming the Pats are in trouble because the division is now so much tougher, not so fast. Jets are always going to be the Jets and I think the Bills window for the Super Bowl is closing. As for Miami, they have the track team but I'm not so sure that those Tua or that coaching staff is enough to get them over the hump.
I know one thing, the next time we take any crap from the Bills fan, all we have to say is " wide right..again" and they'll end up curled up in a corner...
Pats need to get their own house in order but the road back isn't as long as many perceived it to be.

Brady's Pats went to 7 in a row. Didn't think that record would be broken for years but here we are.
