Mayo's Coaching Staff [Discuss Coaching Candidates Here!]

Based on the press conference I think Obrein is gone.
I felt the same way.

I’m fine with it.

Offense was an abject failure and, while Bill B didn’t do Billy O any favors, the whole thing just seems stale and predictable.

My gut is Obrien goes where Bill B lands (if he does land anywhere).

Mcdaniel’s isn’t going to work for Mayo, so new guy is necessary anyway.

May as well just bring in a new system.

…For me, this is normal business, and I would be shocked if very many owners never stepped in. In the business world, there is a word for that sort of a CEO and President: "incompetence". "Negligence" is also a relevant word.
So you’re saying the Oracle of Omaha is guilty of incompetence and negligence?

I‘d lik to know if Berkshire Hathaway shareholders agree. Do you know of any polls on the subject? Or perhaps shareholder complaints?

point is, if you hire well you don’t need to interfere. Another way of looking at it is that interfering can turn a good hire into a problem.

At Berkshire, managers can focus on running their businesses: They are not subjected to meetings at headquarters nor financing worries nor Wall Street harassment. They simply get a letter from me every two years and call me when they wish.

What are some people’s obsession with BOB? Alabama fans packed his bags for him and I don’t thinks he’s been great before OR now here. what On earth has he shown that warrants wanting hi back? Blow it up, get new blood in there, BOB needs to go.

Well, maybe the Pats staff will be staying put, unless they want to go to Atlanta…

From Bedards chat:

If you ask the people who have worked with him (Mayo) privately, most of them will tell you he's not ready for this and has no idea what he's in for.

Apparently this is why everyone is trying to jump ship. This is going to make the Pete Carroll years seem like glory days. Promoting Mayo without talking to Vrabel is an unforgivable mistake by the Krafts, who should just sell the team at this point.

Maybe Thunder Cat will come to his senses when he sees an empty stadium every Sunday.

Who is everyone trying to jump ship? You mean the people told they’re no longer needed, or the people who were hired by another man who might still want their services? That’s how this works. It’s not jumping ship. Gillette is not burning to the ground. Jfc man.

With the exception of Covington, everyone in the building is trying to get out.

Anyone not wearing rose colored glasses can see this is a massive vote of no confidence from the people that know him best.

BOB left a NFL OC job for a college OC position. That is practically unheard of. No one wants to work for this guy because they know he’s in over his head.

How do you know that?? It is customary when a new coach comes in to make major coaching changes.
Sean McVay & Mike McDaniel both have very similar coaching resumes and many think they are successful at what they do.
To start to denigrate Mayo as a coach before he coaches is a tad premature..
BOB went to Ohio State where he will probably flourish and increase his wealth, this fan was not all that enamored with last years offense, there were many deficits, noticed a lack of creativity with what they had to work with.

lol. Maybe you should just go back to your QAnon sh*t.

BOB left an NFL OC Job for a college job because Mayo told him he wanted to change philosophy on offense and because NFL don’t want to hire an OC that run an outdated system that produce the worst offense in the NFL.

Nobody is trying to jump ship. Most of the coaches are Bill minion that will follow him like little dogs wherever he goes and that has nothing to do with Mayo.

This post is ridiculous.

This is Belichicks coaching staff, not Mayo’s. I’m not sure how ling you’ve been following the league but when head coaches change more often than not most of the staff changes with the new head coach. In regards to BOB, it’s more likely that he was told his services we no longer needed. Going back to the college ranks is something that is becoming more common. Just off the top of my head you had Harbaugh, Kingsbury and Saban all go to the college ranks from the NFL. There are countless others but I’ve got a **** memory.

The staff is going to continue getting trimmed down and others will be added. Is Mayo over his head? Perhaps, but we won’t know for 2 seasons at least.

Who are these little dogs/minions you’re referring to? Anyone that leaves? I don’t think either of you know what the hell is going on in the coaching dept. I know I don’t.

Great, you can’t just stick your toe in the water, he’ll have the offense putting their best foot forward.

He‘ll be great coaching WRs to do the toe tap
still miss the first down by two feet
