Our passing game was only 8th in passing yards, and 7th in points. This was achieved, with no blocking and awful receivers, and no TE. What should we expect in 2020?
Our OL should be at least somewhat better. We should get some blocking help from the TE's and FB.
RECEIVERS
Are our WR's that much WORSE than in 2019 when we had an injured Edelman, an injured Sanu, an injured rookie Harry, an almost useless Dorsett, and an almost useless Myers and Gunner. Health for only some of the receivers would help a lot. Also, a year of experience should help Harry to be at least a backup. Byrd and/or Lee should help. We should have more receptions from the TE position. Finally, our passing contributions from the RB position re very good indeed.

BOTTOM LINE
I expect our running game to be better (see companion post). I expect us to better at OL, TE, FB and WR (even without the addition acquisitions that I expect).
And then we ROLL THE DICE and hope the Studham can be a better than average quarterback, and have no better backup than the clearly below average Hoyer. If you recognize this as the strategy of a Kraft/Belichick/McDaniels team, please stand up and cheer and watch and hope the dice serve you well. For me, I wait to see who belichick will acquire at QB to start or to compete with Studham, or at very least to be a better backup than Hoyer.
