OT: Avg number of Homegrown players vs wins

I thought this was pretty interesting.

I find the Bills and Bengals to be the most interesting.

IMO Bills spot on the chart shows prior ineptitude and new regime overhaul. Bengals just shows lack of effort they aren't developing homegrown or even attempting to get it elsewhere.

They have no choice other than homegrown (which they’re not that good at, though they always seem to have some playmakers at WR) because no one wants to sign there and as soon as they can get free of rookie contract they leave.

Not meaning to crap on the thread concept because it does make for a potentially good discussion, but it’s already pretty well known that teams who draft well tend to win more in the years following. Primo young talent on the cheap is good for any franchise. Also shows you how horribly managed teams like the Bengals and Bucs are when they hold onto said young talent for too long when they aren’t helping to deliver wins.

But but Bill can't draft...

On defense some of our most important players were all on another team at some point: Gilmore, Van Noy, Guy, Collins, and Chung.

True I don’t know how that factors into his chart. Both seem to be better on their second go around.
