Patriots trade for WR Mohamed Sanu, for a second-round pick

Man reading r/Falcons they are all heartbroken that Sanu is gone. Maybe this guy will be something special here?

Man this sucks. I totally get it, and it’s the right business move, but I really like Mo. Not just a highly under rated WR, but seemed to be an exceptional human being in a world full of a lot of ass hats these days. Bean.

I’m almost pulling for NE now so he can win. I hate this staff so much for making me do that.

Good football move for sure but this sucks on a fan level

I know we’re trying to lose, and it builds for the future, and it really is quite a good trade for us

But man this one hurts

The last year as an Atlanta fan has taught me to root for people and not get too emotionally invested in the logo's success. I'll always root for the Sanu Canoe

This dude is the picture perfect athlete. Very talented, hard worker, great leader, great family man. I'll miss rooting for him on the falcons but wish him nothing but the best going forward

I'm very happy for him. He deserves to play for a contender & BB is going to make him look awesome.

Good for Sanu, I hope he gets a ring. And throws the best TD in the SB doing it.

This one hurts

Once again, Little Billy gets anal-raped in a trade with a former protege...he should've told Dimitroff the the 2nd-rounder is for Austin Hooper ONLY, and that if Tommy Boy didn't like it, then he can go FECK OFF...But Noooooo...
Yep. No wonder why Patriots have sucked so bad since he got here
Would you please provide Bill with your phone number so he can check with you before he makes any moves?

There was a half where we saw JE, Meyers, Gunner, and Izzo as our offensive pass catchers. I don't ever want to see that again, especially going into the meat of the season.

Signing Sanu is a good thing to make up for the entire AB/DT fiasco. Idc what picks were given, this was required. Only question left: who gets cut?

Not to mention JC Jackson couldn't cover Demaryius Thomas last night

Bedard floating that Sanu trade tied to Gordon possibly going on IR....FU%K FU&K F#CK

Would explain the "overpayment"...

If AB showed up to NFL HQ with his Lawyer and the Union Pres, I guarantee you that Goodell would see him otherwise there would be another grievance filed. It would also give legitimacy to the claim that the NFL is black-balling certain players. And it can't have that appearance even if it is true..
No, there wouldn't be. The CBA specifically says players have no right to be heard during an investigation (even though it obligates them to cooperate with the NFL if the NFL wants to talk to them during an investigation). The only time a player has the right to be heard is in the (kangaroo court) arbitration hearing when the player challenges their sentence after Goodell has handed down the sentence.

He's here ladies and gentlemen.

Well it’s a sellers market out there

??? Aside from a few ticky tack (probably correct, but ticky tack) PI calls, Thomas had 3 catches on NINE targets, for a whopping 42 yards.

Oh no are all the debbie downers upset we won’t use that 2nd rounder on a wash out CB who could have been drafted the 7th?

Even made the social media switch lol20191022_144825.jpg

With Sanu I have them at 54. So who gets cut?

Richards? One of our 4 TEs? Frankly Watson makes Izzo redundant.

I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that this was some horrible overpayment, because it wasn't. Any casual look around the league at what the trade prices have been this year will demonstrate that. I'd have looked to just move a 3rd, but reports are that there were multiple teams bidding, which is probably why the Patriots had to offer their (almost certain to be very low) second in order to outbid any 3rd round offers from other teams.

Are you forgetting that Sanu's in for next year as well as this year, as opposed to an expiring contract?

We need two roster spots to add Sanu and Harry.

SOME CHOICES
1) Izzo
2) LeCosse to IR
3) Gordon to IR
4) Bennett traded
a special teamer

Denver sends Sanders and a 5th for a 3rd and 4th from 49'ers.

Wasn’t it reported that Gordon “dodged a bullet”??
I hope he isn’t headed to IR. If so, huge blow to our receiving corp.

I'm betting on 2 and 4

I like that move for the 49ers. And it's a nice return for the Broncos.
