Where oh where are the multitudes of Pats fans who cried for the crucifiction of Julian Edleman for years??? Why aren't they fessing up??? Oh... I know!!! They are busy eating their heaping plates of crow!!!
A lot of people questioned him stepping in for welker.Been here a long time and I don’t recall many hating on Edelman as a late round pick. In fact, when he started getting cb snaps, many were liking the guy as the underdog to route for.
Most knew he was a project/slash work in progress from the very start and weren’t expecting much.

They felt he was too injury prone.A lot of people questioned him stepping in for welker.
Exactly.I was in the same boat as you.
At the time I was confused and angry that Belichick - a head coach coming off a 5-11 season, three wins fewer than the previous year -would waste a draft pick on a position that had apparently been solidified and set in stone for the next several years, based on the contract extension that kraft had given Bledsoe.
At the time it made no sense at all. It came across as a completely clueless move, considering that the draft pick would be number four on the depth chart.
If anybody was to become the heir apparent it was Michael Bishop.
Not a fan of Pats moving on from
I was on a different board thats not around but there was same feeling over there. A lot had 11 gone.As a rookie, people liked Edelman for his spirit, his story and potential. But circa 2012, coming off two seasons with a combined total of 11 catches, a LOT of people projected him to be gone.
Draft day (one, and two) was just ridiculous. The list of people who were wrong about Brady is a very, very long list.
I was a huge Jim Plunkett fan. In '75, he was battered, and I didn't know who Steve Grogan was.uh...just remembered...the entire 1997 draft....this utter catastrophic failure led to the eventual advent of the BB golden era of Patriot success...

Doubt it! They probably pretend like it never happened.Where oh where are the multitudes of Pats fans who cried for the crucifiction of Julian Edleman for years??? Why aren't they fessing up??? Oh... I know!!! They are busy eating their heaping plates of crow!!!
The only people you can confirm that were right on Brady was the draft advisory board(whatever it's called) when they projected he'd be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Brady definitely wasn't a 1st round pick since he probably wasn't ready to start in 2000.The list of people who were wrong about Brady is a very, very long list.
Since I don't follow college ball at all I don't come in with any preconceived notions about any player. In almost all cases the first time I see any player is when they enter the NYFL.
I can however pass judgement on players who come here from other teams. In that case I hope I'm wrong about Michael Bennett.
