Yeah ... I mean it started well before that damn ESPN article when we all laughed at that golfer (I think he was a golfer?) who said there is something going on between Brady and BB. So after that article, this off season (Brady not attending OTAs, pleading the 5th) I really think there is some serious dysfunction going on.

If BB was forced to trade Jimmy G because Brady, I think Brady earned that. He won 5 SBs and left so much money on the table to be competitive every damn year. But I am seriously disappointed that they don't seem to have been able to fix their problems, because right now it looks like the Pats made the wrong decision. Playing until 45? Hell, I'm happy if he is showing up with the same dedication he did for nearly 2 decades this year.

Rumors are just rumors. They are not necessarily dysfunction.

That Reddit guy got exactly what he wanted. I bet if he hadn't made that second post about something big today, then none of the Gronk rumors happen.

He might have even gotten lucky with the Edelman call. If I were gonna start a rumor about a Pats player getting suspended for PED use, sure, why not Edelman (coming back from an injury).

Maybe he starts rumors like this frequently in case one comes true. Then when it does, your post is picked up nationally (Deadspin etc.), and you have the spotlight on you. So much attention.

It's one reason why people on PatsFans should think about what they post. We aren't as hidden as we think we are. I'm sure a few reporters are looking at this thread. When you get a Chris Stephenson spouting off rumors and conspiracy theories, that can circulate. Not to mention some people who post their political and borderline / overtly racist agendas on here.

You don't have to hope. That same guy tweeted out, literally minutes later (and linked to this same thread) that he was joking, and has no idea what's going on, followed by the originally source of the "bomb drop" saying he's got nothing and it was all a game.
