Looks like Rivers is out for the year...

Not sure what happened to him, but I thought Wilkerson was a great fit here, coming out of Temple.

He supposedly was hurt still last year. Maybe that's true. He is still a top DE and not a problem off the field.

I just really love the way Sheldon plays. He goes all out every damn play.

He's one of the few players worth a damn that the Jets are actually fielding this year.

Depth....

??

If you mean depth for the next couple of weeks, then that's fine. We have 15 fron seven players to choose from. Belichick doesn't need another for "depth". We need depth because most here want at least two of the 15 cut.

At this point, I'm used to your unfair outbursts and all around wicked ways.

I think today was a wake-up call. I look at that post and think "Is that who I am? Do I want to be that person?"

Today is the start of a new journey for me.

Also, **** off i hate you

get in line, junior...I was here first...

Need warm bodies for camp

Never again do I want to hear posters go "it's ok he'll be fine he walked off the field" after a leg injury. That means squat!

You'd think that would be a lesson thoroughly learned after week 1 2008, but sometimes people need to learn again I guess.

Folks have been talking about a trade or signing just before or just after the cutdowns.
I agree that we need camp bodies. Who else will play Game 4. We certainly don't want to risk many of our roster players.

Supposedly, Ninkovich claimed that he was too sore just from lifting weights, let alone all of the other stuff that he'd need to do to stay in competitive playing shape.

I believe he said that it took him a week to recover from doing squats, and that was enough to tell him that he should hang it up. I don't think we should give any consideration to that possibility.

Perhaps a few more dollars will help with the soreness.

Patriots signed DE Rob Ninkovich to a one-year extension.
The deal comes with a $1.5 million signing bonus, but reduces his salary to $1M this year. New England is buying low with Ninkovich suspended the first four games. Ninkovich is now signed through 2017. Sun, Sep 11, 2016 10:31:00 AM

Brutal. Just brutal.

I prob had bigger expectations for him than most. Esp by years end.

He only played in one preseason game.

Such a good guy with all the qualities of a good teammate and his potential was as big as anyone not named Myles Garrett from this year's class.

Just awful.

He may not be a murderer but I'm sure he could step it up to fit in there. ;)

Seriously though Sheldon is the man. I hope we keep him and somehow dump Wilkerson. Sheldon's only issue is some immaturity that'll disappear soon.

I think he's a great player and could play for someone other than Belichick. We only play the best criminals.

Children’s Hospital Develops New ACL Surgery Technique

Haven't heard much about this recently and may not be a viable option for a world-class athlete and the stressed based on the repaired knee but it's an interesting technique that could dramatically change the recovery time for an ACL tear.

Probably depends on the nature of the tear.

I'm very interested in all this. Received a cadaver ACL almost twenty years ago, this year was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in that knee and had a partial replacement four months ago.

It's not just about the ACL healing. Other muscles cannot be used while it's healing so they atrophy from disuse. Rehab is crucial. I'm working with a physical therapist who also works with professional athletes. The exercises and effects of both surgery and rehab are very impressive.

I'd say Rivers' recovery really depends on his rehab.

how ya been uncle joe?

you ready for another exciting year of patriots football?!?!?

james87654 dont think you can come back here and just wash away all the ******** you posted on this forum the past couple of years. You got countless threads locked, insulted numerous posters with your "cutie" crap and antagonized everyone with your pathetic Felger worship all the while telling everyone how handsome you are.
