2 words why us Pats fans do not want the Eagles in the Super Bowl...

Honestly, these playoffs have gone terribly from the perspective of the NFL marketing brass. No more Mannings, few really electric offensive players left standing, and a geographic clustering in -- woo-hoo -- Pennsylvania & Maryland. Baltimore-Phoenix ain't exactly Pats-Giants in terms of intrinsic interest.

God it would it be a dream to have this turnout be the final kick in the ass to Roger "Jets" GOoDell. :D

wishful thinking of course.

We were talking about the exact same thing on the CMB.

No...

Dallas
New England
Indy/NYG(i.e. Mannings)
NYJ/Favre
Atlanta/Boston native gem rookie Matt Ryan
Green Bay

Well-at least Pitt/Rooneys are left. However-when all is said and done, NBC must really be pulling their hair out over how they'll be able to pull in any decent rating$$.

I myself is getting a good laugh out of this as well.

Go Arizona, Screw Pennsylvania, especially the Steelers. Can't hate the pack
of ***holes enough.

rooting for the eagles is like the bills. you feel kind of bad for them always coming up short. regardless of their fans i've liked andy reid and the team
i too feel exactlythe same
i would be sweet if the make the SB and beat the ravens after mcnabb getting benched against the ravens to start this streak

Re: 2 words why us Pats fans do not want the Eagles in the Super Bowl..

I'm rooting for Mcnabb now.Forget Spector. The guy has been through so much. He's still standing strong. With my Pats being out I'm rooting for the Eagles. My gut is telling me that there will be a Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia SB.Who knows? The Ravens could prove other wise.

McNabb has brought everything on himself. He never take responsibility for anything. He is a media darling here and constantly defended.

The fans are so confident about next week, I hope they go down in flames.

I was pulling for the eagles today, and I said I would not mind them in the super bowl.. But then 2 words come to mine while Im rooting for Arizona

Arlen Spector.. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

if the eagle win, specter may leave us alone. but this could happen if specter loses his senate seat too. i'd rather have the latter. :D

I want to see the look on that bloviating druggie Rush Limberger's face when the Iggles win.

I cannot stand the Eagles...It looks like I'll be rooting for the Cards since I have nothing against them.

Eagles and Cards have every right to win the superbowl. Eagles have gone a long way since they lost to you guys in the Super Bowl.

-T.O. dilemma
-McNabbs injury that lasted about nearly 4 years
-Reid's son incident
-drafting Kevin Kolb
-McNabb losing his starting job
-Andy Reid probably losing his job
-No Wide Recievers what so ever
-attempting to trade for our precious Reggie Wayne....although i do think that they offered Brian Westbrook....

As for the Cards, they have no history of even being in the Super Bowl at all.

Steelers and Ravens have won their Super Bowl in the last decade...

The Cards or Eagles...does it really matter? I think either teams would be a huge underdog versus the two remaining AFC teams.

I'm personally rooting for Pittsburg to win it all because they seem to be an elite team since early in the season...even if I'm not too crazy about those annoying Steelers fans...who seem like are everywhere in the 50 States.

I want to root for the Cardinals expect they cannot beat the Steelers and Philly can. To me the Steelers winning is worse than the Eagles for so many reasons but the big one is it would be their second SB of this decade. I'd rather have Baltimore, although I'm no fan there either, win a second vs the Steelers. Cardinals vs Ravens for the SB with Cardinals winning is my preference right now.

I think the Eagles will beat the Cards. Let's be realistic. And the Steelers vs Ravens is a tough matchup. I'd say Steelers would win that one though. But who knows the Ravens are red hot right now. That's a tough one to call.

This is kind of a Catch-22 for me. A good friend of mine is a big Eagles fan (grew up in eastern PA), but yeah Specter's a moron and most Eagles fans, from what I've heard, are complete cretins. On the other hand, maybe if the Eagles get back there and lose again, Specter will realize that, just maybe, they lost XXXIX because they weren't the better team.

But then again, I absolutely despise the Bidwills (or is it Bidwells?), the family that owns the Cardinals. Not as much as Al Davis, Mike Brown or Woody, but they ran the team on the cheap for decades apparently never concerned that 8-8 was a tremendous success. Then they had the nerve to complain that if they were taken out of the NFC East in the realignment, they'd never sell out because they wouldn't get to host the Cowboys every season. Losers.

FWIW-it was only last year when the Cards were somehow having problems, problems, problems with their salary cap among many things. They ended up giving Larry Fitzgerald a boneheaded rookie contract other GMs wouldn't have been stupid enough to give. It came to a point where they couldn't sign FAs like Alan Faneca(who was the apple of Wisenhunt's eye) b/c of Fitz's enormous $14m cap figure, which was ALOT for someone in his rookie contract.

They ALMOST traded him to Philly for a washed up Lito Sheppard, Turdston Justice, and a #2...wow, that would have been HIGHWAY robbery right there on the part of Philly. I know the Eagles are in the NFCCG now, but IF they had acquired Fitz, they would have ruled the NFC all year and their path to the NFCCG wouldn't have been nearly as difficult.

And if memory serves, after Fitz finally gave in and renegotiated his contract with the Cards, he said something like, "I'm looking forward to winning a championship with this team". At the time, everyone (naturally)LAUGHED at him. But wow...look at where they are NOW!

Exactly. I wish the AFC game were first so that if the Steelers lost I could go all out for AZ. But I really don't want to see Pitt handed another trophy on a silver platter. If they win it all facing 8-8, 11-5, and 9-7 teams this will officially be the most frustrating season ever for me.

Eagles on SpyGate last year.

Sheldon Brown....

Do I think about it? Mmm hmmm. It's crazy. I just don't know how far back it goes. Something's not right about that

I was like, 'Man, I never saw that many screens.

Brain Dawkins...

Now there's always going to be questions about the situation. Was it great adjustments at halftime or what?

I would like to think it's just one team doing it, but it doesn't shock me that it happened.

It's different if you're talking about recording it. What can you do if you try to signal a play in?

A chuckling McNabb...

Maybe we'll get our ring back. Maybe we'll get the real one.

A smiling Reno Mahe...

I think they should forfeit, man. We won the Super Bowl. I think we should get it. I'm going to go trade my NFC championship ring for a Super Bowl ring.
