(Alleged) Ex-Pats Employee throws mud and makes fool of himself

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

Jeezus - how about they try supporting the team that employs them...

You can be objective without being irreverent and ignorant and disrespectful and a flat out backstabber (or someone who employs one for three seasons...). It amazes me how many today fall for the bs that you can't be objective without being blatently critical and talking smack with your audience. Also amazes me how many of you fall for the being part of their inner circle crap. That's why Casale got forgiveness here - because people thought he would then owe them and treat them like they mattered...and they actually thought he knew something about football beyond going bankrupt betting on it. LOL

We often lament here how this team deserves so much better media coverage. And frankly, that starts at home. These guys influence their peers in Boston who in turn influence mediots nationally.

Tell you what. Fred may be a great guy, but he's a lousy manager. Belichick wouldn't tolerate him as part of his staff for a minute. He's lucky PFW isn't part of football ops.

Your right about that, he trusted Tom, and he made a mistake , just Belichick did with Donald Hayes, steve martin, Monty Beisel.. But the show was getting out of hand for a couple yrs, and that was because of toxic tom

Whoever their boss is...he needs to clean house at PFW.

So remind me, was BB playing these guys for three years before realizing he'd made a critical mistake that was costing his employer?

Kraft should hire a pro to run the media operation, period. The guy he just replaced Casale with wrote a handful of pieces on the Pat's to date, including his most scathing in which he contends they never apologized for anything and just because Walsh didn't have a tape doesn't mean it should be over or Pat's fans should feel vindicated... What is it, a prerequisite that to work for Fred the homer you have to be a twisted, Belichick hater? Fred predated Bill, didn't he?

Mo, someone should send that post to the Patriots PR people. They should be made aware of this, IMO.

Hey all --

I'm going to try not to give my opinion on this too much, just wanted to share with a few things:

The Pats definitely know about this; one of the PFW writers told me about it after practice today and they were just floored at what he had done. Here's the thing (one of the things) he forgot when he did this: he has likely put Paul Perillo, Andy Hart, Erik Scalavino and now Mike Parente's jobs in jeopardy. Regardless of what you think of them, they don't deserve to lose their jobs because of what Casale did. Belichick is going to be none too happy to have that information out there, and he could very well go to Bob Kraft and say they can't fly on the team plane anymore. So then Kraft has to decide if he wants the extra expense of flying the PFW staff separately all the time, and possibly having them stay in a different hotel all the time. PFW does turn a profit currently, but having to buy (at a minimum) five round-trip plane tickets for every road game will get costly quickly...

I haven't heard of *anyone* who works in the PFW office or interacts with that group that isn't happy to have Casale gone. He really was a toxic presence and not at all a nice guy. Personally, I didn't like him at all and think that his little post is quite possibly one of the most classless things I've ever seen.

And for what it's worth, Tedy has always been nice to me. Can he be moody sometimes? Of course. But if I had people asking me the same questions over and over again I would be too at times. I also had a good relationship with Corey Dillon...

I'm sure BB is not happy about the Welker injury stuff. The Sex Tape crap sounded like BS when I read it and I still think that most of that article is BS.
All players are moody. I've seen some 'tude from Brady at times too. But who cares? These guys are human, they have feelings just like the rest of us.
Thanks for the info SMY. :)

SMY,

Thanks for giving us the reporter's view. I really hope no one at PFW loses their job because of Casale's attempt of shameless self promotion by posting that crap. I can't say I am surprised to hear that Casale wasn't a popular figure among the Patriots media community. Just from our exposure as fans to this lunatic really shows a man with some serious issues.

I really hope that Fred Kirsch and Belichick can come to some kind of understanding and save PFW from a potential death. One bad apple who is no longer with the team shouldn't ruin it for PFW and the readers of that paper. Kirsch does need to take some responsibility since Casale should have been canned after the Mrs. B fiasco.

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

As our right-wing friends were fond of saying before the whole oxy thing, "mega-dittos", SMY. The subject makes me think about the contrast between your ability to effortlessly interact with a fan board and know where "the line" is, vs. the Casale behavior we're talking about.

It seems like it would be hard to do it right - to interact with a fan board without getting "absorbed" by it and having it affect your perspective. You make it look easy.

Thanks,

PFnV

Ya think Mike and Mike won't be off and running with this crap in the morning. If I had to bet on, I'd go ahead and put the house up. Won't be listening to that weasly Greenberg gleefully promote this non-story. Tell me how it goes.

Not sure if they would go that low. I mean I havent watched them for sometime now as they both anger me, but I dont think they would do this.

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

For what it's worth, my father and I met Bruschi at a dinner in 2003 and he was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I'm not so sure about the validity of this article.

Why would people take the word of this slime? I would assume the best about anyone he didn't like.

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

I hate to say it, but this could very well be true. Look how big Bruschi was from '01-'04. After the stroke, the bulk was gone. I'm not saying it's true or that I believe him. I'm just saying there is a distinct possibility. Casale should also take into account, though, that any athelete that suffers a stroke will never return to his former self whether he was using roids or not.

Bruschi was a defensive end in college. He never sucked, he needed to learn a lot to transition from pass rush and teams specialist, to OLB and ILB.

He led the NCAA in sacks, i believe. Don't believe a known liar.

One malicious hack liar down, one to go.

I said I wasn't going to contribute anymore to this ridiculously long thread - way to hang a lantern on this, people - but I had to respond to this. As someone who has been listening and interacting with these guys for YEARS, I think it's incredibly unfair to lay this on ANYONE but Casale himself.

This is FRED'S fault now? Because a better "manager" wouldn't have let this happen? That's asinine. If the entire board is saying, "HOLY CRAP, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED!" how can we genuinely then say that FRED should've seen it coming. Give me a break. Let's try being fair here. Let's try being grown-ups. For once.

Bruschi being an ass is not hard to believe, especially after reading his book. He talks about almost coming to blows with Vrabel for "ranking" on him...I had friends like that...they are called tight asses. Not fun to hang out with. The guy who can't take a "your mama's so [blank]" joke, and wants to fight you for cussing his mama.

Not to mention, the callousness of his book, and wanting to be a role model for other stroke victims...give me a break. You average American stroke victim does NOT have:

1. access to a private jet to see the best doctors in the world (per the Krafts)
2. a world class training/rehab facility at their disposal
3. team doctors and trainers at their disposal
4. in home personal trainers
5. the choice to not have to work and focus on getting healthy
6. Millions of dollars

Give me a BREAK!

With all due respect, no. (I'm sure a few other folks here could be more spirited in their rejection of your break request.)

First off, I dunno, but I might be a little miffed if I were in Bruschi's shoes and hearing a barrage of jokes in poor taste.

Secondly, if what happened to Bruschi means that even one other family won't have to go through the agony of losing a loved one--either figuratively or literally--to stroke, then I'd say he is a role model.

Yeah, he's lucky to have some of the best medical care in the world. Ditto for Ted Kennedy and his brain cancer, and John McCain and his melanomas (and celebrity X and athlete Y and etc.). But that's the way the world works. And I don't see why that should disqualify him from being a role model.

After the Tomase fiasco, I don't understand why anyone in this forum would believe everything this creep wrote.
Because he worked for the team? Pulease. Matt Walsh worked for the team too. I'm still waiting to see the tape of that walkthru that he told the world about. HE LIED about the walkthru. What makes any of you think that Casale didn't put a few white lies in that blog too?
I guess some people want to believe the worst.
Don't believe everything you read my friends. I learned that the hard way.

Thank SMY, and that is why some people cant understand why we got bent out of shape on this...It for the guys who are still, left and Casale did not think before he wrote.. Its a shame that is all, and Paul Perillo heck of a nice guy and a great writer , its a shame and I hope nothing like that happens to them..

Okay, and I for one wished that this had struck a month ago when there no camp and next to nothing going on. Love misery? Heck yeah, pre-2001 what the heck do you think we were fans of most every year? Jeesh. Oh, and I love the "create" part, shows you have an imagination, too. I got a life, wanna trade, because you appear to think you are God.
