There's plenty of elation throughout New England tonight after Adam Schefter reported that the Patriots and free agent cornerback Darrelle Revis had reached an agreement on a one-year deal worth $12-million.
However, hold everything. In an interesting twist, apparently the two sides aren't quite there yet after his business manager, John Geiger, Tweeted out that there isn't yet a deal in place to bring Revis' services to Foxboro.
As of now, nothing has been agreed to with Revis and Patriots.
— John Geiger (@JohnGeiger_) March 13, 2014Hopefully it's just a formality at this point and they're still ironing out the details. A couple of reports say the hold up is likely due to the fact Revis still needs to pass a physical before anything can be made official, which if all goes well will be a minor detail.
We'll have to see how it plays out.
