Poor sports?? Football is a poor sport??? Thats why teams pay £50million+ for a player, and then pay him £150,000+ a week to play!
You are clearly blind!

shows how gigantic soccer is in the world. I like both soccer and football, but don't understand why MLS is still not one of the big guys in the US. I think the main reason soccer is not as fast as other sports, but that's not a disadvantage if you ask me. You need much more stamina for soccer than for baseball or basketball for example.
Take the worst elements of hockey and basketball and play it on grass.
Flopping and low scoring.
Eh.... I've watched a number of games both on TV and in person that never had flopping and both teams tried very hard to score. I actually love tight close games when it comes to soccer when both teams are getting creative in trying to score. Very fun to watch and even more fun when eventually one team finally manages to control the lead.
(Unless if its the Revs or the MN Stars in which I'd rather simply see them blow out the other team or at least dominate them to win)
I understand why many Americans hate it. What I don't understand, however, is this compulsion to both express said hatred and justify that hatred every time the subject of soccer comes up. It's not like the French, English, Italian, Dutch, Brazilians, Ghanaians, Chinese, Bhutanese and so forth rant on and on about how much baseball sucks...
^Fine, then feel free to continue the fierce "soccer sucks" jihad in retribution every chance you get.
