Agree 100%, this team hobbled to the AFCCG with tons of injuries, IF they can stay healthy, they should have an even better season than last year. Can it be what we're hoping for? All I am hoping for is a relatively healthy 2014 for the New England Patriots. That will take care of a lot.
Gawd, what a homer! My expectations are mostly contingent upon health, but here are some:
- Brady to "bounce back" from what was not a bad season in the first place
- Edelman to have fewer catches
- Amendola to have more catches
- Thompkins to have more catches
- Gronk to have 70-80 catches
- Wendell to be beaten out at center
- A surprising amount of 3-4 defense
- A 5 man RB corps of Ridley, Vereen, White, Devlin and a battle for the 5th spot
- D.J. Williams not to make the team
- A return to the Super Bowl
- Easley to be considered a disappointment by many, because of his late start and bounce back time
- Bequette to be cut
- 13+ wins
- Interesting use of the Slot/Outside hybrid receivers (Edelman/LaFell/Amendola/Boyce (if he makes the team), varying their positions and roles more than we would normally see
- Top 5 scoring offense, top 5 scoring defense
- Top 5 total offense, top 10 total defense
I expect football to be played at some point during the season.
But in all seriousness, I expect:
A top 10 D (assuming general health all around) in pts scored and yrds allowed.
A top 10 O (Assuming Gronk, either Edelmen or Amendola, and Dobson remain relatively healthy)
A 28-35 TD season for Brady.
A 11-5 record at worst.
A trip to the AFFCG at least.
