I would have never guessed Blount was going to become this type of force. I figured, early in the season, that he'd be a goal line thumper - someone to spell Ridley...

Wow. The O-line is loving run blocking, and credit to their work. But Blount is running with major major purpose. I like it - and something tells me I'm not alone.

Jaime Collins was AWESOME. And we are going to the AFCCG again! Woooooooooo!

Does anyone know if Brady now owns the record for final four appearances? This will be his 8th, not sure if Montana made it 8 times or not.

I believe Montana went to 7 NFCCG

There's only one word I can think of that adequately describes how this performance has made me feel: proud. Proud for a bunch of guys to put up this performance given the adversity they've faced this season. Furthermore, Tom Brady has the marbles to sit back and let the run game dominate. He is something else.

wont be a better contrast weekend than this one.

Let's see Pay-me throw it all over the place tomorrow (like you know he will at goal-to-go-from-2) and hopefully lose (on a goal-line pick 6 ---- that would be KARMA baby).

-Awesome win, onto our 3rd straight AFCC and barring an injury in these last 2 garbage minutes it looks like we escaped this game without losing anyone except Allen who as good as he's been wouldn't be a huge loss right now.

-Speaking of injuries, this may be the healthiest we've been in a long time (not saying much, I know). Talib/Dennard/DMC being at or near full strength as it looks they are will be huge for us next week. Sucks that KT and Dobson seemingly cannot get back but for the most part, we're going into next week with no less than what we had going into today.

-And speaking of the secondary, I'm hoping the issues today were rust on the part of Dennard/DMC as they were burnt for both TD's. Hoping that gets fixed for next week, most likely won't be scoring 43 again.

-Offense and gameplan was outstanding today. I made the mistake of following the gameday thread for a little today and saw all the complaining after a couple failed drives lol And here we stand with 43 on the board. Even if you take away the Pts off turnovers that's 29 points and easily could've been 36 [50 altogether] had they not taken their foot off the gas on the last red zone attempt.

-Jamie Collins - WOW despite the slow regular season he may have already justified his pick. Other big ups to Edelman, Blount, OL/Hooman. Amendola had 2 huge catches - 1st down conversion on the first actual TD drive, and the bomb when Indy had the momentum.

2 quick impressions:

- If all Jamie Collins could do was cover TEs, he'd still be worth the draft pick. A 6'3" 250-lb. man with legit cover skills is a rare, rare asset.

- PR Edelman always makes the first guy miss. Always.

Great win by the Patriots, once again overcoming adversity to win in convincing fashion. These are my B6 post games thoughts:

•Blount is the real deal, I was way off when I spoke negatively of him earlier in the year. I will own that, he is running like a man amongst boys right now and his confidence is high and you can see it in him he is riding high right now.

•Collins is the gifted, he and Chandler Jones could pair to be the scariest duo of front 7 players in the NFL over the next few years – 6 tackles, 3 QB hits, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 1 interceptions, that is getting it done in every phase of the game.

•Edelman has become very complete as a WR over the course of this season, he makes plays, draws penalties and it takes 5 players to bring him to the ground every time he has the football.

•Deion Branch is a moron he tarnished his legacy as a Patriots to stand on the sidelines in sweats and watch his team lose by 21 points. Combine that with his backing Hernandez this offseason and in 6 months he has gone from a well like and respect player in New England to one of the most idiotic to ever don at Patriots uniform.

•Ridley is running well and the coaches trust him with the football. He has not received a lot of recognition because Blount has been playing out of this world but he has 2 very good games in a row back-to-back and has not had any ball protection issues since working with Faulk after the Denver game.

•Alfonzo Dennard is a fine CB; every time I watch him play I think how terrific he is in man-to-man coverage, even when he gets beat he is right there.

•What is up with Vereen he didn’t seem like himself today, he was not running good routes and was basically invisible?

•Amendola really struggles to get open, outside of the big reception on the play action when he was able to run free through the secondary he was not able to get open at all and the big catch should have went the distance and probably would have if it was any other receiver on this team. Either his groin is still an issue or he is not as explosive as advertised because he struggles more than any WR on this team to get open or create space against his defender.

•Chandler Jones needs to be a bigger factor next week, I was disappointed that he wasn’t more of a factor, 2 tackles, 2 QB hits today; the same can be said for his partner Ninkovich who had 1 tackles and 2 QB hits today.

•Siliga was a beat against the run again this week and allowed the 3 tech to attack the QB, this allowed Chris Jones to have a very good game with 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB hit and 1 tackle for a loss; after going 7 games (mostly when we were using the 3-4 front) without a sack Jones has a sack in 2 straight ball games.

•Not that it has anything to do with the game but Wilfork looks like he ate Kyle Love, he has to be pushing 450 lbs. right now.

I mostly agree, but even I think you're going overboard on Branch there. Signing with the Colts in the situation that he did was a bad move that does affect my opinion of him, but among the most idiotic? Can't co-sign that at all.

Also:

Dan Dierdorf is gone. Halle-*******-lujah.

Yes Brady is now the Sole leader in Conference championship games

Highlight of my night: Watching Merrill Hoge right now. S*ck it you arrogant bast*rd

It seems that Collie makes a good play for us when he is on the field. Hoping to see him more often going forward.

Anyone else more excited about Dierdorf's retirement than the win?

Andrew Luck postseason stats: 1-2 record, 6 TDs, 8 INTs, 55% comp, sub 70 rating.

Yes, let the Peyton Manning flow through you! :D

EIGHTH AFCCG in 13 years.

let me say that again: EIGHT AFC Championship in 13 years.

Un bleeping real.

EDIT: Thanks to Juny for correcting me down the road. 8th! Not seventh!

Want to say that this was a great game. Very proud of how the guys played. Full team effort and its amazing we had 7 TDs and not a single TD pass by Brady. I'm just so excited by how great they played tonight.
