The 2015 NFL Combine Thread

Donovan's 9'1" BJ and 32" VJ at 338#, plus long arms (34 3/8") should help him.

Some other solid VJs from the OLs:

Andrus Peat - 31"
DJ Humphries - 31"
Ali Marpet - 30.5"
Cam Erving - 30.5"

Some big guys putting in big jumps.

Jake Fisher had a 7.25 3-cone and a 4.33 shuttle, both better than Bitonio. He's quietly the star of the day.

Definitely a Kyle Long look-alike.

So to summarize for Fisher:

6' 6 1/8" 306#, 33 3/4" arms, 10 3/8" hands, 5.01 40, 1.75 10 split, 4.33 SS, 7.25 3C, 32.5" VJ, 25 reps @ 225

Very impressive

Some other SS/3C results of interest:

TJ Clemings: 4.45/7.68
Cam Erving: 4.63/7.48
DJ Humphries: 4.64/7.87
Ali Marpet: 4.47/7.33 - very similar to Joel Bitonio's 4.44/7.37
Ty Sambrailo: 4.57/7.54
Andrus Peat: 4.62/8.01
Jeremiah Poutasi: 4.89/8.09
Donovan Smith: 4.79/7.94

Eighth best OL 3-cone since 1999 and seventh best OL shuttle since 1999 (at combine). I really like his tape too. Plug him in at OG like teammate Kyle Long and if Solder leaves in '16, Fisher could fill in at LT if needed. Don't think we get him at 64 now though.

The shuttle is usually more important than the 3-cone for OL, according to Josh Norris, so that Clemmings one is fine. Marpet having a blinding day.

Well The Florida Guys beside Erving, putting up numbers so they should around on day 3.

Ali Marpet's summary: 6' 3 7/8" 307#, 33 3/8" arms, 10" hands; 4.98 40, 1.74 10-split, 4.47 SS, 7.33 3C; 30.5" VJ, 9' BJ; 30 reps @ 225

Great overall performance. Compare it with:

Joel Bitonio: 6'4 2/8" 302#, 33 7/8" arms, 9 5/8" hands; 4.92 40, 1.69 10-split, 4.44 SS, 7.37 3C; 32" VJ, 9'6" BJ, 22 reps@225
Terron Armstead: 6' 4 6/8" 306#, 34" arms, 9 1/4" hands; 4.65 40, 1.68 10-split; 4.72 SS, 7.72 3C; 34 1/2" VJ, 9' 4" BJ, 31 reps@225

Jake Fisher vs Nate Solder.

Solder in brackets

6'6", 306 (6'8", 319)
33.75" arms (35.5" arms)

40 - 5.01 (4.96)
10 - 1.75 (1.72)
BP - 25 (21)
Vert - 32.5 (32)
SS - 4.33 (4.34)
3-cone - 7.25 (7.44)

Solder has the length advantage but considering that Solder was considered extremely athletic, Fisher's numbers are pretty much identical.

Gotta say a little OT, I love patsfans forum, but the draft board is one of the most level headed, interesting reads on the internet.

Much appreciated all

Agree completely.

Laurence Gibson, Do any have any info on him, flying under the radar but had a solid Combine also

Anyone still want Josue Matias? His 17"VJ and 7" BJ are historically bad. 5.52 40. I'm not in favor of judging players based on drills, but his athleticism has to be seriously questioned. Or his commitment. Or both.

On top of his 7' broad jump, Josue Matias had a 17.5" vertical leap. He makes Michael Sam look like Jamie Collins.

Beat you to it by a nose. :p

I think we're following the same twitter feed.:)

As a point of reference, 17.5 is 2' lower than the next lowest lineman ever.

7feet puts in bottom 5 all time. That's insane

He should have faked an injury.
