I guess these are prime candidates to be traded, we have so many in the late 6th/late 7th we're almost going to have to trade the tradable ones. Hopefully into 2008.

    Re: Comp picks

I agree. I have to believe we'll trade those 2 picks.

Sorry about calling these supplemental picks - brain cramp.

I foresee something like the following:

    1st round:
    - with one of them, pick a DB or LB

    - with the other, trade down far enough to get a 2008 1st rounder plus a late 2nd-high 3rd for 2007. That will even out this year's draft and get us another first for next year

    2nd round:
    - with that late 2nd-high 3rd: a DB, LB, or OT

3rd round: same: a DB, LB, or OT

    4th round: WR

    5th round comp: developmental QB

6th round #6: trade in one of the higher rounds to move up a few spots

    6th round #28: trade for a 2008 5th

    6th comp: ??

    6th comp: ??

    7th comp: ??

That would give us a LB, DB, OT, WR, QB, 3 late rounders, a 2008 1st and a 2008 5th.

Besides one the first round picks there really isn't much to trade with.

I'm hoping they trade away the picks for picks next year because a) the roster is pretty well set this year b) we won't be getting any comp picks next year

Agree. They have three day-1 picks and a low 4th (127) that are decent picks. After that, they have 6 low picks between 171 and 247, 4 of which can't be traded.

So for sure, they'll trade the 2 low picks they can trade in the 6th round. Those could be used to move up a little on a higher round, or to get a 2008 pick(s).

I don't see them parting with that 4th rounder, because they've done OK in that range over the years (eg, Assante, our new PK, etc.). When you hit in the 4th round, and there's a decent chance they will, there's a great ROI.

The 3rd rounder: if they could swing a 2008 2nd rounder in exchange, they might go for that.

One of the first rounders: good chance that they'll trade down, get a 2008 first, and a 2007 2nd or 3rd.
