Im really not familiar with the case he's dealing with with Doty, what exactly is at stake tomorrow and does it in any way pertain to possibly helping or hindering Brady?

I think in a civil contempt of court, the judge could either rule on behalf of Peterson or throw Goodell in prison. I think, not 100% sure.

Was he ordered to appear & didn't? It would be very rare for a judge to throw someone in jail for civil contempt. The usual "punishment" is you have to reimburse the other side for their attorneys fees & costs for a wasted court appearance or wasted time filing a Motion for Contempt, etc.

I think the best way to look at this is what the laws for contempt of court is in Minnesota since that is where Judge Doty presides.

Ah, but it's so nice to fantasize Goodell not being in Judge Berman's courtroom on 8/19 as ordered, because he is in Judge Doty's jail for contempt of court. How much better could events turn?

would look
real funny.

Contempt of Court hearing delayed until the 26th.

EDIT: Well I read it somewhere earlier today but can't seem to find a link. My apologies if this is incorrect.

Has the U.S. closed Gitmo yet?

My dislike is for tbe content of your post, not the post itself. Wimps! :p

He ordered the goodell and the nfl to reinstate peterson by a certain date, they did not even after the union repeatedly asked that it be done.

I don't think this is any type of jail time issue.
I think the contempt of court claim has to do with the NFLPA claiming that the NFL has not followed the courts instruction. The NFL will give its understanding and interpretation and say it was compliant.
The judge will clarify the ruling and give further instruction.
