Many of us read a thread here last year sometime where someone - not sure who - mentioned a rumor he'd heard from a reliable source (a mutual friend he shares with Koppen?) that Dan was going to hit FA and not re-sign with the Pats because he wanted to go play in Philly.

However, SINCE then Koppen has been injured, and the Eagles have found their Center of the future - according to an article in a recent issue of Sports Illustrated. It involved a training camp battle between the Eagles vet center Hank Fraley and this guy that has taken his spot in the starting lineup.

So perhaps Dan is more open to re-signing here long-term? Thoughts?

I think that right now, Dan should be more concerned with making sure that he returns to form after that shoulder injury that knocked him out for the season, IMO.
