That last link in your post is a real winner....veracity....now relegated to the status of the unicorn...

For many, there has been an outcry asking why the Saints punishments were so much harsher than what the New England Patriots received for Spy-Gate, when their punishment stemmed from game-day cheating and creating a potential unfair advantage. Of course, Goodell outlined that the Saints that were involved lied about the bounties, but didn’t the Patriots destroy all evidence in Spy-Gate before the punishment was handed down? Who knows, maybe Vilma’s case, or Harrison’s outspokenness, or even a court ruling will help fans understand these suspensions, and the method behind the madness.

there is good news here,though...suppose you hit hard times...your company folds...you get downsized...whatever....you can always move to the Steeler region and get a job writing copy for a major newspaper....no experience necessary...just make stuff up and hand it in to the editor...no story will be refused.

It's amazing what passes for media personnel. In 5 years they'll say the Saints murdered players on the field and Belichick has the only video evidence.

For those of you with the stamina you can tweet Mark Mihalko on Twitter - his handle is @scarletcircus . But I suspect that calling him on his fiction will have less effect than the dialogue a Patsfan member had with Kurt Warner recently. At least Warner appeared to absorb some of the information, Mihalko may not have the same level of discernment, small though it was.

Unfortunately the thought that the Patriots cheated and destroyed evidence is imprisoned in today's cultural context. We will have to wait until the culture moves on before we can once again see the facts currently obscured by the myths....but that will take several years, long after BB and TB have retired.

A Steelers fan/blogger commenting on fines to James Harrison and also somehow finding a reason to comment on the Patriots.

Gee, I wonder what his opinion will be?
