Theres no way he was a "Yes Man" while OC of the Pats.
I agree. Coordinators are far more than just yes men. Good coordinators also have to be good hands on coaches, to put the players in the right position to be successful.
Coordinators definitely make a difference, you see it all the time in the NFL, when a new coordinator is hired, all of a sudden a team will turn it around from bad to good.
Charlie Weiss was a major reason that Brady developed into a great QB. Weiss was always on Brady after every mistake, and put game plans in place that played to Brady's strengths.
I think BB just values having assistants that he has trained, and seldom brings in guys from other systems, especially as coordinators.
