From Patriots counsel letter to Pash:

We learned last night from Ted that the issue of how League personnel handled the pursuit of the low psi issues, including whether there were inappropriate prejudgments and unfounded presumptions of wrongdoing, selective leaks of information and misinformation, failure to correct obviously misreported information, and the like, are not part of what the Paul Weiss firm has been asked to investigate.

Add this to the list of public statements from Wells that have been shown to be flat out lies.

From his press conference:
Mark Daniels @MarkDanielsPJ · May 12
Wells still doesn't think it was a sting operation. He said he investigated that because the Patriots asked him to.

How Ted Wells ever became a lawyer just boggles the mind. There are some mysteries in the universe that will never be solved.

Apparently, a lying commissioner does not affect the "integrity" of the league:

Well apparently you can become a very highly paid lawyer, without being a very good lawyer.

He may be a fine lawyer, but when you dangle millions, bias becomes involved.
Of all the professions in the world that I would suspect of acting unethically with money at stake lawyer would be high on the list.

I didn't want a thread to mention this, but not only does Ted Wells count the NFL as a client outside of this investigation, he represents(ed) Johnson & Johnson. As in Woody Johnson. He isn't an active member of J&J, but a significant stock holder.

NFL better call Saul next time, he would prove Belichick deflated the balls with a toothpick.

All you need to do is sell your soul and integrity to big law and the almighty dollar. Amazing that Ted could be upset with someone questioning his integrity since he sold it a long time ago.

Equally damning:

Since the Patriots were the target of this investigation and since information coming directly from game officials and League officials was crucial — and it was the League that also employed the investigators — Patriots’ counsel requested to be present during interviews of such League personnel. That request was rejected. Patriots’ counsel also requested from the outset that he be provided with the actual halftime psi measurements. That information was not provided until March 23, over two months into the investigation. It was provided then only on the condition that it not be disclosed and, particularly, that it not be disclosed to the media until the final report was issued. This condition was imposed in the face of the extensively reported misinformation about halftime football psi that the League had refused to correct. One can only speculate why it was so important for the League that the accurate halftime information be withheld from the public until it was ultimately part of a report that downplayed the science and instead relied on selective texts.

So the NFL lied to the Patriots, and when the Patriots asked for proof the league withheld it for 2 months, and then only released it under a blackmail provision that you cannot release the information about the lie.

This by itself should put the league on the hot seat.
Who exactly was uncooperative?
