Yes. And I can almost read in his body language, “Jeez, I never had to deal with this crap at Alabama.”

Having a dominant line and first-rounder wideouts makes life cozy in college. He’s now in a tough place. It’s a tough job.

I don’t see him making it happen.

Yep... Corky had The Easiest Season for a Championship-Winning QB in the HISTORY of College Football... And now he's being Exposed for what he Really Is...

We don’t really know what he is yet, except for being a middle-of-the-pack starter without a good OL or skill position players around him. Regardless, the 2022 Patriots are his team to command unless he gets injured. That seems pretty clear. Zappe will get another chance to take the job away from him in TC next year.

Mac is the starter right now not because he was a 1st round pick but because BB believes that he gives the team the best chance to win. That's always been BB's MO when it comes to players. If he felt differently, Mac would have been benched permanently for Zappe after the Chicago game.

We saw this same story with Cooper Rush over Dak and Mike White over Zach Wilson with fans wanting the shiny new toy. It hasn't gone too well for either of those guys and it didn't go well at all for Zappe in the Bears game.
Belichick cant replace a 1st round pick, Heisman mention, National Champion Jones with a nobody 4th round QB from Kentucky.

Zappe had a bad game. Jones would not have beat Chicago either. The Bears have pride too and they were not going to allow the Pats to beat them so BB could pass Halas in wins. Zappes stats are still better than Jones and Jones has had more opportunities. Some here only care that Jones plays and if he wins he is "The Guy" and if he loses its a litany of excuses why and none are his fault.

If there was one coach in the league who absolutely would do exactly that if he really thought Zappe was better than Jones right now - it's Bill.

Heard all of this stuff a few years ago with Stidham. We need to see Stid play to see what he's got! Turns out we didn't need to see him at all.

the Pizza-Maker
I forgot about him. There was Dan Skipper, who was on Detroit’s PS earlier this season that I thought we should have brought in. He spent time here.

But being smart like Bill means he likes to do things in a way to make people marvel at his acumen. It really is like a double-edged sword.

Without T Brown we’re likely screwed unless they move Strange 69 out to LT and does a passable Matt Light impression. Then we got James Ferentz at LG.

Means we’re screwed.

The season is on the line.

The Bengals are down the road and it appears that they have righted the ship. I doubt 10 - 7 gets NE in the postseason.

Von Miller must be doing this right now he could have had a career night.

Thinking who is better doesnt mean much.

BB thought Cam was better too. BB thought Hoyer was a good 2nd string QB. BB liked Harry. Thorton is another BB favorite.

Getting sick of the word "illness" showing up with multiple players every week. Is it some virus making the rounds in the locker? Or is it a seasonal thing and many other teams' injury reports are also ripe with it?
Covid numbers are high.

He also liked Jimmy G and drafted Rham when we didn't need another RB. The guy clearly shouldn't be allowed to pick anything.

The Comedian, the Pizza-Maker & the lousy college TE would also all be sitting at home too... But Lil' Billy's always gotta prove he's The Smartest Man in Football...

That's not the point. The point is: They needed additional OT's due to injury (and lack of performance). At this time of year, EVERY OT sitting at home is a pizza maker, or TE conversion, or longshot, because there's almost NO teams in the NFL that have such perfect tackle depth that they wouldn't snatch up a good one if they on the street. Your expectations are ludicrously high for tackle options this late in the season.

The same guy who dumped Bledsoe for Brady, a 6th round pick?

Maybe McDermott per Reiss. Let's just hope Brown can go!!

Can't say that fills me with excitement... Next week, Cannon should be back from IR, Wynn will possibly be healthy, Brown will no longer be sick... tackles galore. Too bad they play the most important game of the year so far THIS week...

Feels like some crap happens right before the game or during the game, every single week, that causes them to have to figure out some new OL situation on the fly. Andrews gets hurt, Wynn gets hurt, someone gets sick the day of the game... Zero consistency.

As Ashley pointed out they did take away Cook. You can argue wether that was the right choice to focus on but there was purpose to what they did. And they made adjustments in the second half on Jefferson.

If your defensive game plan is to take away Dalvin Cook in 2022 in a dome instead of Justin Jefferson, it begs the question, has the game passed you by?

I hope the plan is take S Diggs away Tonight with constant doubles Teams we have nobody we can guard him one on one sorry Jack Jones maybe next year.
