24. New England Patriots (from Seattle): Reggie Nelson, defensive back, Florida.

25. New York Jets: Anthony Spencer, defensive end, Purdue.

26. Philadelphia Eagles: Sidney Rice, wide receiver, South Carolina.

27. New Orleans Saints: Greg Olsen, tight end, Miami.

28. New England Patriots: Darrelle Revis, cornerback, Pitt

I would be happy with this draft.

so would I, but we need some serious help to get nelson

I could live w/ the two picks. It's hard for me to envision a scenario where we would pick Nelson before Revis.

Agreed. Personally, I'd be very excited with Spencer/Revis. Although I'd be stunned if Revis was on the board at 28. I think the Pats would take him off the board at 24, but if the draft were held today, he'd likely go in the 13-18 range.

i love your quote from borgy in your sig. awesome.

This must have been an old Mock. Revis @ 1.28?

Corner looks to be a huge need for a good half dozen teams this year. Hard to imagine Revis falling to #24. But if teams create a run on big guys or offensive skill players, someone has to drop.

Yeah, I paraphrased it in another thread about 4-5 weeks ago, and someone asked me for the exact quote. After doing a whole bunch of internet digging I found it here-

I bet if you do a google search for his articles around the time Mankins was drafted, you'd find similar quotes as he had preached for months that we would never take a guard in the 1st round. He had us taking a safety (Sean Jones ??).
