As a freshman in 2007 at Toledo, Cadet played a small role at wide receiver, and decided to transfer to Appalachian State. After sitting out the 2008 season, Cadet returned in 2009, starting the season as Appalachian State's third quarterback behind Armanti Edwards and DeAndre Presley.
A little too much excitement from some over this signing I think. From my limited knowledge of cadet, seems to have good hands but little ability to shed or elude tacklers and is not fast(too put it nicely). Looks like possible competition for bolden/white rather than someone who's just going to step into vereens role.
I would like to congratulate Travaris Cadet on getting overpaid in free agency two years from now.
He should at least get 500k back for/from Mangini.Belichick should start getting a cut of the contracts from the careers he has resurrected, saved or made.
Come to the Pats, win a ring, make a name for yourself and make a killing.
You don't see the disconnect between what vereen did last year and what bolden/white did? I dont see any of these 3 stepping into vereen's role and being good for 800 all purpose yards. If cadet is on the team at the start of next season, personally I think his contributions will be on ST. Could be wrong, and heres to hoping he catches 70 balls for 700 yds and makes me look stupid.Considering his college experience at WR and the fact that his catches dwarf his rushes, receiving back seems most likely. I'm also a little confused how "Vereen's role" differs from "competition for White."
How come he wasn't on anyone's radar?
Here are his Pro Day results compared to Vereen.

Well, it was nice while it lasted. Everyone knows you can't play RB in the NFL with a slow 40 time. As soon as Belichick sees this, he'll be cut.
