The team can call on HIghtower, (FIrst) and Collins, (Second) as rush LBs too. We have to include Moore, Buchanan and even Bequette in the calculations too.
Ah please please ,,who is Bequette ?:confused::rolleyes:

The Patriots have had a bad stretch of injuries including this year. I think we are due for a few breaks at the right time and all seems to be headed in the right direction with blount back and the D playing well without Jones. With Jones and Siliga back we will be scary come playoff time, book it.

A Bequette is a mythical creature who, it has been prophecied, will rise up in case of DE injuries, though this has never actually happened.

Seems like a pretty sensible timeline to me. If he was borderline good to go this week, rushing him a bit would maybe warrant consideration given that a win on Sunday, barring serious collapse, could borderline lock up the #1 seed in the AFC. But if there's any doubts--and it appears there are, which makes sense--I'm fine with holding him out. We should murder the Chargers with or without him anyway.
I guess it depends on if the hip is structurally sound or not. If it is and it is a pain management thing I wouldn't be surprised to see him used as a situational pass rusher. Honestly I think that is going to be all we see Jones do the rest of 2014-15 anyway is as a situational pass rusher.

I would be curious however if Jones was 100% how a 3-4 would look with:

LOLB - Ninkovich
LDT - Branch
NT - Wilfork
RDE - Jones
ROLB - Ayers
SILB - Hightower
WILB - Collins

I don't love Jones as a 3-4 DE but maybe in a hybrid over/under scheme.

BB on his game this week.

Questionable: Aiken, Connolly, Easley, Fleming, Chandler Jones, LaFell, Vereen, Chris White.
Probable: Brady, Cannon, Edelman.
