you know, ive been reading alot of comments by people worrying about what the country/fans of other teams think of the patriots and think of them if they win the superbowl as tainted...and you know what I say? I dont care....either way the Patriots are/were going to be hated. and it is for the most rediculous reason possible...

they are consistently successful. Rather than applauding a team for doing it the right way and being able to navigate the "cap" they would rather tear them down.

it stems from the fan, sitting at home watching his team lose every year while the patriots win. Trying to explain to himself why his team cant "make the next step" while the patriots continuously are right there....can it be good coaching, and a HOF QB? Nooo it must be cheating! its why no one cares that the Browns cheating scandal of actually getting scoops during the game, or the fact that Pete Carol was himself a cheater at USC and several of his players have been suspended for PED's but 2lbs of PSI??? outrage!

then onto the media, lets not forget that most of these ex players are guys who either

A. have had their records broken by tom brady
B. Had their @$$es handed to them by the patriots

so when something happens they all come out of the woodworks to bash and bring down the patriots. Lets take a step back to the blowout loss to Kansas City. The media was foaming at the mouth. Brady is done! Fire belicheck! their time had finally come they thought. the end of the patriots dynasty and they were ready to dance on their grave. Instead they just poked the bear and the Patriots went on a tear through a tough schedule.

now, a team owner who was suspended for being a Drunk and a coach of a team who hid evidence of a wife beater, had a murderer and a despicable human being in Suggs on the team are trying to bring them down for some underinflated footballs.....for which the NFL still has no evidence to pin this on the patriots.

All I can say is I hope belichick has saved every press clipping and every media statement and has been showing it to his team. Because we saw what the Patriots did to cinci, indi, denver etc. after the patriots were called dead. This could be poking the bear again.

lastly, I am extremely dissapointed in the boston media this entire year. They have been a big problem to all of this. they dont deserve a team as good as the Patriots.

Nothing would be sweeter to watch brady/belichick hold up that fourth Lombardi while all the Mediots go into the fetal position and suck their thumbs.

Were on to Seattle..

You know what the future best seller of all time is going to be? Bill Belichick's memoirs! I hope he tears the balls off the NFL and all his enemies!

I've never rated a thread before but I would like to rate this one "winner." Can someone please tell me how?

You're theory would be possibl. But I'm pretty sure they've had Bruschi (and any other past patriot employees) trotted out in front of the camera to denounce these Patriots for what they are....

Very true and in fact I was listening to the radio (Philly) on my way home from work today and one of the hosts was a former Steeler I believe. And while he definitely had animosity towards the Patriots over Spygate the real reason that this ordeal has blown up so big is because of how successful the Patriots and the city of Boston as a whole have been.
