Re: Reiss peek at 2013 foes

1. With the Patriots and Broncos both clinching division titles last weekend, it ensures another chapter of the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning rivalry next season, as the Broncos will visit Gillette Stadium.

Somebody better call Bob Ryan. The NFL is up to their shenanigans fixing schedules again?

Ya gotta understand where Ryan is coming from. He's a WWE.....errr NBA guy and in that league they fix drafts, they fix games and they fine teams for resting their older players. ;)

That's a tough schedule.

Re: Reiss peek at 2013 foes

Why do the Pats have to play in Baltimore on consecutive seasons? Ithought they alternated home and away?

This year was a 1st vs 1st match up and AFCN 1st scheduled to host. Next year is the regular scheduled match up. Pats hosted Baltimore in 2010, thus on the Road in 2013.

Next year schedule

I know the season is not (hopefully also far from) over yet, but anyone knows what divisions we will be playing next year?

AFC East and NFC South. Per original post:

2. Patriots' 2013 opponents at home: Browns, Steelers, Saints, Buccaneers, Broncos, Bills, Dolphins, Jets.

3. Patriots' 2013 opponents on the road: Ravens, Bengals, Falcons, Panthers, AFC South champ (Texans), Bills, Dolphins, Jets.

Re: Reiss peek at 2013 foes

Next year looks to be a pretty tough schedule for Pats.

7 quality opponents based on this season.

If they stay healthy, re-sign Welker, Talib is healthy and a Patriot, and this year's rookies ( Jones,Hightower,Dennard,Wilson) progress in their development, They could win 11 or more games.
:rocker:

Is it tough really? As a division winner, you must play 4 division winners. We play 4 division winners and 1 wc (Cincy). We have 11 games vs teams that did not make the playoffs. 6 div games (all losing records) Pitt, Cleve, Tampa, NO, Carolona (all of which have a losing record).
we play 11 games against sub 500 teams.
It is virtually imossible to have an easier schedule as a division winner.

Who are 7 quality opponents based upon this season? 11 of 16 have losing records.

Re: Reiss peek at 2013 foes

Next year's schedule is definitely a step up from the level of competition the Patriots have played the last few years. It is pointless to speculate on specifics at this point, as the team faces a CRUCIAL offseason in which it will have to remake it's Wide Receiver corp, address health on the Offensive Line, add talented depth to the Defensive Line, and once again rework the Secondary.

Jeez, you sound like your talking about the Jets!

Looks about the same to me. Non-divisional games. Denver and Houston again. Baltimore again. Pitt, Cincy and Cleveland replace Indy and Tennessee and Jax. Indy and Tenn as good as Cincy and Cleveland. Pitt is better than Jax. That's the only diff in the sked. NFC about the same. May have been a little tougher this year because of trip to Seattle.

No walkthrough. Another tough schedule.

Broncos fans are hating because we get them at home again next year AND again in 2014. Some people don't know this is completely predetermined: we get them on the road 3 consecutive years starting on 2015-16 season if we both end at the same place in the divisions.

Wow tough schedule.

Falcons, Ravens, Bengals, Texans all away games? Crap.

The two games that should be "gimme" are at home (Browns and Buccaneers), where we wouldn't even really need the advantage.

This is, on its surface, the toughest schedule we've had in a long time.

Panthers away, hey wait I live in NC, I can drive over and cheer our boys on!!! Sweet!!!

Given what this team might be capable of next year, home, away, it won't matter. :)

wow, our home schedule is a piece of cake compared to the away games

Tough schedule. The NFC South is going to be tough, matched with the AFC North, yikes.

Glad we got the Saints at home. The Saints are going to be on a F-U tour next year.

I hope we don't succumb to the Super Bowl hump like the Giants.
