EVERYONE is concluding that the Charger Red Zone O vs the Pat Red Zone D was THE reason the Pats won.
I certainly give our D a lot of credit for great red zone play, but this is not an accurate analyis.
The Chargers were in the red zone 3 times. If they scored 2 TDs on those trips, the red zone D would have been average. That would have had them with 20 points instead of 12.
We scored 21 and were on our way to scoring again on the last drive if the time did not run out, or, in other words, if we needed to.
Red zone D contributed to the win, as did run D, pass D, run O, pass O, special teams.
