Re: Superbowl 44 map poll

That's outstanding. New Orleans is hopeful. New England is bitter! Love it.

Re: Superbowl 44 map poll

Nicely said.. but NOLA always has a soft spot in this viewers heart.. if there were no Pats, NOLA would be a consideration for my fave..

What is wrong with Vermont and Connecticut- GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

a map of who you WANT to win would be more red

Re: Superbowl 44 map poll

I'm suprised the whole country besides us and New Orleans/Mississippi thinks a Colts win is obvious.

We'll see. ;)

I did some relief work in New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina and saw first-hand the devastation. It was pretty unreal. Looked like a war zone (or what I would imagine a war zone looking like...can't say I've ever actually been in one). It's very easy to root for that city....

....especially when the alternative is another championship by Indianapolis and Peyton Manning.

:D

Don't forget: CT is half NY and half Boston fans. Yes, they're the "New England" Patriots, but that doesn't change the reality that half the people in this state (I live in CT) root for NY teams. So there's not the Colt-Patriot rivalry thing here for half the state.

And the closer to New York you get, the more JEST and Gnats fans there are, and the more obnoxious they tend to be.

[One of my former bosses was a Gnats fan. We both agreed that the JEST were teh suck. The one person in the office who was a JEST fan was later fired for a Gate D-like incident. . . .]

Half of CT are NY Gaints fans. And Vt is, well VT.

Re: Superbowl 44 map poll

Boo this poll

Re: Superbowl 44 map poll

I'm surprised it's that close.

Connecticut is more like New York than New England, but what's with Vermont?

Re: Superbowl 44 map poll

That is freaking hilarious. Thanks for making my morning.

Thank you for synthesizing my, as yet unformed, thoughts.

Given the extreme media stant I really can't blame the rest of the country.
If it weren't for the poll question actually naming the Saints would the rest of the country even know the Colts had
an opponent in this Super Bowl?? ;)

BTW, I wish they would ask WHO DO YOU WANT TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL?
We'd have lots of company, like 49 out of 50 states with us on that one. ;)

I was there, too. It was rough. Every aparment building was closed. Entire neighborhoods were empty. Cars everywhere. Virtually nothing was open. It was so hard to find a restaurant to find food.

So yeah. Go Saints. We get to see the rebirth of a city.
