I just want to wish you guys a very happy thanksgiving from our family to yours.
Despite the bad times with the economy and all of the other problems that we face each day, it is still time to reflect our thanks for the little things that bring us joy. Also never forget our brave soldiers who cannot be home to celebrate with thier loved ones. At our table, we always set a plate for that one soldier who cannot be here. :( This is but one act of "THANKS".

WE do the same, although this year, it will be for my son who is currently overseas.

One of the bright spots these days is that he can occasionally call home and talk to us. When I was in, it was pretty much letters and postcards, with the occasional call when you could save up enough change :)

Despite everything going on around us, however, there is an awful lot to still be thankful for in this great nation.

Can I say ditto on this?? Absolutely.

I am obviously from Halifax but I have lived and worked in Boston for 4 years starting 1999-2002.

It was a great experience, great town, and got to meet some really nice people and see a few games in the process:)

In Canada we have also deployed members of our country overseas, percentage wise I don't know what the number would be compared to the US, but I can estimate it certainly is not small. I live in a sub-division where there are many military families and traffic seems to be light at certain times of the year so they are no doubt overseas or deployed elsewhere in the world.

We have already had our thanksgiving, however Happy Thankgiving to my neighbors and their military families (and Pat Fans) south of the border. I am sure you will see them again real soon!

God bless him and keep him safe.:americaflag:

I hope he gets home safe real soon.

Anybody who wants to send me some Turkey feel free :)

Have a good one guys.

I wish everyone around here a happy, festive, joyus, and safe Thanksgiving. To our troops overseas I wish that you get home safe soon.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving :)

And to those of us with a loved one overseas, stay positive and keep the good thoughts:rocker: The troops and their families need and appreciate all the heart-felt wishes!

Happy T-day everybody:eat1::eat1:
