This is the beginning of the downfall for the Colts.
Sanders is injury prone, in 4 seasons twice he only played like 5 games each.
This is a lot of money to give a guy who isn't super durable.
You do that when a guy is turning 25, not 30. Giving a edge rusher whose whole game is a quick first step that much money when he is getting old enough to lose that step is not smart.
Freeney is 27.
My bad. I guess because I was at SU with him for a year and I'm 31 I assumed he was right around my age. Still, the fact remains that I think as an edge rusher Freeney has already seen his best days.

You guys never learn about Polians signings do you? I wonder if $40 billion will be enough to keep Moss in NE.
Many, on here, believe he's a one trick pony, but he's evolved from his early years, imho.
The beginning of the end for Indy is when they made Freeney the highest played defensive player in football.

Giving Sanders all this money could be the second nail in the coffin. As others said, that's a lot of $$$ to give a guy who can't stay consistently healthy.
My guess is they franchise Clark, though the $$$ TEs are getting nowadays, the top 5 average is still probably pretty high.
