Per Rotoworld-
The Giants will reportedly be willing to shop Osi Umenyiora on draft day if they select Jason Pierre-Paul with the 15th overall pick.
Umenyiora "can be had for the right price," according to Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post. Though Umenyiora is coming off a poor season, he is due manageable money over the life of his contract and could probably use a change of scenery. He may also be available for as little as a mid-round pick.

Would you use a mid rounder for him?? Do you think he would fit in the 3-4?

I would be much more comfortable with Osi than i was with Burgess

i agree with this statement for all intensive purposes

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

Trading for him and switching to a 4-3 would make this defense better than trading for him and converting him to OLB in a 3-4.

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

i don't want any giants on this team.

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

I actually think we are moving to the 4-3 this year. Makes it much easier for us.

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

He can be had because he's not effective anymore.

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

Osi looks washed up,give me a healthy Justin Tuck

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

He was coming off a pretty severe knee injury in 2009, which might explain his lack of production. Umenyiora was one of the best defensive ends in the league before that, and he's not old, so it could be a low-risk, high-reward type of move to get him. I'd rather have Osi than Burgess.

I think Osi used to be effective because Spags knew very well how to use him while Strahan commanded double teams.

Osi would pretty much be a more expensive version of Burgess. No, thank you.

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

I feel uneasy about having a player whose name sounds like "human urine."

Adalius for Osi?

Trading for him, playing a 3-4 and having him play DE in sub packages would make the defense better than either of those scenarios.

Re: Osi Umenyiora can be had for a Mid Round Pick

I always felt that he was somewhat overrated and benefited from having Strahan opposite of him. He had 2 big seasons in 2005 and 2007, but 6 of his 13 sacks from 07 came in one game against a rookie tackle. I don't know if he could transistion to the 3-4 and be an every down linebacker, he's awful against the run and is probably no better in coverage than Thomas or TBC.
