According to Tomase, the jesters are the ones who'd get him for a #2 not the Seahawks. I think the grievance enhances the chance of a deal as it's an unknown to all sides. If Seattle wants him it's in their interest to trade for him now before another unknown enters the picture. Same for the Patriots.

Makes the grievances the first good thing Chayut has done for his client.

In essence, it's in Seattle's best interest to raise the stakes than wait for the special master to reward Deion Branch for the Jets second round draft pick (via the Washington Redskins).
