Lots of right handed folk swing a bat/golf club/hockey stick from the left side, myself included.
What's weird about Tom is he golfs from the right side yet was taking batting practice from the left.

I would add the great, and too often forgotten, John Havlicek. He is a member of eight NBA championships (only Russell and Sam Jones have more), holder of the Celtic record for games played and points scored, and a player in two of the greatest NBA games ever, the 1965 Eastern Conference Championship against Philly ("Havlicek stole the ball") and the 1976 triple overtime championship win against Phoenix.

Yep. Looks like we are a few years apart in sports eras. Without a doubt, Russell and Orr are the most impactful players in their franchise's history. If I was a little older they'd be mine too.

Ortiz has brought a lot of joy to this region and I have nothing against him. Agreed- I don't put him in the top 5 of Sox "players".

Agreed. The difference is the distinction between Brady and Manning, championships.
