If this took place on the street and the Chiefs players had stolen Ward's wallet or insulted his girl, Ward's actions might make sense. I'm can't really see how they are justified in a football context, though.

Maybe the chiefs player did both before the game started?

Yes to reclaiming your wallet. No to reclaiming your ego. Attacking someone for something they said is exactly the kind of punk behavior that sums up Ward pretty nicely.

To Manning's credit, he looked embarrassed when he was acknowledging the ovation from the fans. I think he knew that he was in bad physical shape and that he was not ready to play.

We can say all we want about "Regular Season" Peyton vs. "Post Season" Peyton, but it's a hell of an accomplishment. Respect. A pity that it came on the worst day on the field of his career that ended with him getting pulled and people wondering whether he should even start the next game.

What would be great is if he breaks the record by a yard and then throws a WR screen that loses yardage so that Favre is ahead again then on 3rd down throws a pick and has to wait to break the record again.

The Spaceman lob to Tony Perez was another issue....

Spaceman said that the pitch to Perez was less effective because he had to throw it from the stretch instead of from the windup like he had done almost every other time he had used it.

Too bad; he pitched 2 pretty good games vs the Reds, but was given little run support both times.

I was channel surfing looking for scores and saw the score of the denver kc game on bspn. they have that kyron running (the message at the bottom of the screen) it had all the stats EXCEPT Mannings. Nothing about what he did. It;s like they buried his embarrassing performance.

Pey's game stats probably broke their QBR calculator... you know with a divide by zero or negative infinity type computational error...
