New England Patriots Training Camp Primer Offensive Line

One of the keys to the 2016 success had to do with continuity. The Patriots five starters played together nearly wire-to-wire last year

Cam Phleming & Mongo Jr Jr as our #7 & #8 OLmen? Yuck.

And I have no idea whatsoever to expect from our #6. Garcia could have a bust in Canton or just as easily be a bust, period.

Besides hoping/praying for perfect health from the starters again, I am also hoping that Jamil Douglas & Conor McDermott maximize their natural talents and become the #3 OG (after Nick Mangold signs here as the #2/1 Center) and the #4 OT, respectively. And don't sell Max Rich short either, excuse the pun.

Hard to imagine an injured vet who hasn't gained much attention as coming in and taking over the starting center spot, especially after Andrews has been extended and done a pretty decent job.

I share your same concerns, no doubt about it. I'd like to see a cap casualty or TC cut come in and win a spot as a backup guard. I'm just skeptical that Belichick is going to spend the money to bring in Nick Mangold, that's all.

4 OT: Solder, Cannon, Garcia, Fleming

5 IOL: Thuney, Andrews, Mason, battle between Douglas/Karras/Ferentz, reasonable vet signing (would be ideal, but probably a bit of a hope)
