I cannot take credit, heard in a random bar this weekend....

IKE and TINA

Credit where credit is due. That is hysterical. But I hear they are getting divorced so possibly some bad karma here.

The best nickname is in my sig below :bricks:

IKE and TINA

I still like "Rush Hour" best!

Since Maroney has stated he doesn't want to change nick names I thought maybe:

KOOL AID and PUNCH

Why give a nickname when they already have them?

"Kool Aid and the Rock"

Re: Why give a nickname when they already have them?

Kool Aid on the Rocks??

i think they should either be called "the good running backs"

Vataha, you're new to the board so this may have been an innocent mistake, however, if you want to reply directly to a post or posts of a thread, there is no need to start an entirely new thread. I have merged your new thread into this one.

Thanks, Shmessy

That one's pretty good. Since a football game is 60 minutes long. If they could literally rush for an hour they'd really kill the clock. :)

Dunno I still haven't heard a real catchy nickname that sounds like it will stick though. Why aren't those bums at ESPN coming up with some catchy nickname. Isn't that their job? Oh that's right they have their hands full washing the Colts' balls!

Every time I hear Maroney's name I think of the rival mob boss from Johnny Dangerously (his name was Moronie by the way) and "you fargin iceholes"

I believe I came up with that one too, but you can borrow it. ;)

Those are all very creative, but "Ike & Tina" absolutely rules!

And if Maroney gets outta line, Dillon slaps him around a little, as it should be with a rook!

Hey, what's love got to do with it?

----------------------------------------
Rollin' At The Razor
(Sung to the tune of "Proud Mary")

Maroney:

"Left a good job in the Twin Cities, working for the Gophers every night and day,
But I never lost one minute of sleeping, headin' to the NFL from the Big Ten,

Big wheel keep on turning, Belichick he keeps on burning,
Rolling, rolling, rolling at the Razor,"

Dillon:

"Cleaned a lot of clocks at U-Dub, pumped a lot of yards down in Cincy, son,
But I never saw the good side of a city, till I hit the house out on ol' Route 1,

Big wheel keep on turning, Belichick he keeps on burning,
Rolling, rolling, rolling at the Razor,"

Both:

"If you come down to the Razor, bet you gonna find some people who live,
You don't have to worry if you got no tailgate, people at the Razor are happy to give...

Big wheel keep on turning, Belichick he keeps on burning,
Rolling, rolling, rolling at the Razor,"

"Don't ever hang me on a hook, Johnny...

My mother tried to hang me on a hook once...

ONCE!"

Sorry to rain on your parade, but this whole quest to give our runnings backs a nickname is beyond lame now. The players, Maroney especially, have said that they don't want any new nicknames.

Who cares what the players say!

We are the fans!

We decide these things, dang-tooten!

If we say they are Ike and Tina, then by-golly, they're IKE AND TINA!

I kind of like Wizz bang for the nickname.
