    Mike Leach was just cut by the Broncos. He was Scott O'Brien's

    long snapper at Denver.

    Yeah, when folks here started wondering who would replace Paxton, my first thought was whomever it was that Paxton was replacing.

    ok, maybe this will be our next move. hopefully we can sign a LS and a CB in the next day or two

    Cutting Leach made absoluetly no sense...

    He's been one of the best LS in the league for YEARS now...McDaniels comes right in a signs his own guy to a 5 year deal and cuts the guy who's done a GREAT job for years...

    If you traded Paxton for Leach, you'd be getting a good deal...

    Sounds like a good swap, as long as he signs for a reasonable contract number.

    Go get him, if he's reasonably priced. Can he play TE at all? If he could, I'd be thrilled to see us trade Dave Thomas and save a roster spot.

    An interesting sidebar on Leach is that he was a pretty good

    punter in college.
