Always thought
very little of Dobson. Got some **** when
I gave'm a 6th Round Grade back in the day.
Can't believe he's still
alive, after all these Years, much less on the Roster.
Yet you gave Keenan Allen a first round grade.
What did the patriots see in Dobson that they didn't see in Keenan Allen?
Let me start off by saying Thank You for the
Keenan Allen Reference!!
I've had plenty of Misses you could choose from, yet you graciously chose to reference what at this Hour is looking like an Hit. You are a Gentleman, Sir!!
To answer your Question: My best guess ~ I can't claim definitive Knowledge, as Mad Bill
still inexplicably persists in ignoring my Phone Calls
~ is that Dobson's
intoxicating Fusion of Height and Speed understandably seduced our Draft Team: He stands 6026 and ran a
blistering 4.37 40 Yard Dash at his Pro Day in 2013. Those are the numbers of a guy who should go
Top Ten.
Unfortunately, his Core Power and thus his Functional Strength don't seem to be on par with his Frame, his Route Running was awful at Marshall, and his Agility ~ his Fluidity and his Ricochet ~ are mediocre, as his Short Shuttle and 3 Cone Times confirmed: He can't change directions very smoothly or quickly.
Consequently, I deduced that he was a tall guy who could run fast in a straight line and not much else.
Ironically, the only other Positive that I saw was where I gave'm an high grade for what I've come to refer to as Catch Point Capacity. That of course has not manifested itself, while, unfortunately, the elements of his Skill Set that I was not high on have manifested themselves all too prominently.
He seemed a strange Fit on this Team, which emphasizes Route Running & Agility over Height & Speed.
Having said all that: please do consider me among those hoping for the very best for the kid....especially while he's on our Team. My 6th Round Grade was just an assessment of what I thought his Prospects were worth at the time. He
does have Potential, and I'd be the last one to close the door on'is Story.
