This is kindof interesting... Manny, after always seeming somewhat like a fish out of water, is reading, or has just finished reading "The Secret".

The book for those who aren't aware is all about the Power of Positive Thinking and the Law of Attraction. Manny's now trying to "attract" a 2 year extension followed by a 4 year deal and is talking "positively" about feeling young, fit and able to hit 600 home runs in his career.

Let's see where this goes with him this season. Will a Happy Manny tear the cover off the ball this season? Or is this just talk to get himself another $40 million short term and a big new contract?

Drove in 4 runs in the opener today. Look for a monster year from MR.

This guy has been filthy over the last 10 games. I can't see anyway the Red Sox let him walk. 20M is a high price to pay but whatever, there isn't a cap so just do it. Plus Ortiz will be see about 300 IBBs next year they let Manny walk.
