Looks to me like he's not sure what's going to happen b/w Brady and the Shield. Definitely a quote intended to create distance.
So if it's just the appeal, Kraft could say "I really hope he's out there week 1."
If it's the appeal plus something, Kraft says what he said.
I think you guys might be getting your Brady v. NFL. It's at least on the table as far as Kraft presently knows (which makes sense - TFB's Plan B in case of an unsuccessful appeal would more likely involve the NFLPA than Kraft. Hell, Kraft could get named in the suit... wouldn't that be fun?)
This is exactly what is going on. Kraft is anticipating that he along with the other 31 will be on the receiving end of a Brady lawsuit and he's not going to say anything that will disadvantage the league. He's in a crappy position, but eff him anyway. Sometimes principle has to trump dollars. I really hope the fans make his life s miserable hell for what he's done.
