...go 18-0 then lose in the super bowl, is it as good as what miami did in 1972?

Nope.

Winning the SB will always be the greater feat.

I'd rather go 15-1 in the regular season and then win the Super Bowl than go 16-0 and not win the Super Bowl. It will be seen as a choke and rightfully so.

If the Colts in 2005 went 16-0 and then lost to the Chargers in the playoffs it would have been called a choke.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I wish could vote for #2 and #3

It's better than what Miami did, they only won 16 games. But it would be a very disappointing season.

Yes, they must go 19-0 and Don Shula is an ass.

don't get hung up on the numbers

an undefeated season is what the 72 fins did and what the 07 pats would need to do to match it, you can argue that it's harder to do now because it means 2 extra wins, but it's not any better or worse as far as the record of undefeated seaon goes

and shula's an ass

I think the moderators need to configure the board so that a standard option is added to every poll: "This is the dumbest poll ever."

Pats have to play 2 more games then the Fish did, but keep in mind there were fewer teams and the talent pool was not as thined out as it is now with 32 teams.
