Speaking of clutch, he made a couple of clutch catches at the end of Super Bowl 36 as well.
Against the Giants last game in 1996....the Patriots were down by 2 TDS..and Bledsoe threw a flare pass to Brown out in the flat. The defender had teh ball for an INT and Troy wrestled it away, showing great strength. Although the play might have lost yardage, a turnover would have given the Giants incredible field position and a chance to stretch it to 3 scores.
It was a great play...saving the game. Parcelss said it was one of the smartest plays he had seen and it really was...Meggett helped win the game, but when it was doubt, Troy made the play.Happy Birthday TROY!!!!!
In honor of his birthday today, name your favorite Troy Brown play from his career.
I'll start with the 2001 AFC Championship game blocked field goal lateral.
.......
2003 game in Miami, Troy catches an 80+ yard TD bomb from Tom Brady in OT to win an important divisional game.

Loved that moment as we were there - I had end zone seats, 4th row from field on the side that he caught it and we watched as he snared that pass running away from where we were. Awesome moment.
That was the first time we had beat Miami, in Miami in a loong time and sure was a top Troy Brown moment. I remember watching BB throwing his headset (Mary Tyler Moore style) up in the air and catching them again, in a rare outburst of emotion.
I remember that one LATER in that game as well..but the first one is hardly notivced when it should be MORE so...Yes..I think Reiss ,mentioned the 3rd down granb as well...MANY MANY big plays for the Troyster.....Another great Troy Brown moment from the same game: Late in the second half, Pats rallying from a 22-0 halftime deficit. Pats are in Giants territory and on a crucial 3rd down play Troy makes an incredible catch for a first down while lying flat on his back. Great concentration on the ball. IIRC, this kept the game winning TD drive alive.
Other great Troy Brown moments not already mentioned.......
2003 game in Miami, Troy catches an 80+ yard TD bomb from Tom Brady in OT to win an important divisional game.
2004 game in St. Louis, Troy catches a fake FG TD pass from Adam Vinatieri that completely fools everyone watching.
