Lots of flags on Rex's undisciplined gang of yahoos?

I wish we had saved Steratore for the Denver game. We'll end up with a home cooking crew for that game for certain.

I like Steratore. I don't recall having a problem with his games. Didn't he do the Pats game in GB last year?

I hate even talking about refs and what crew there will be for the game. (This is not a slam on the OP or anything so please don't take it that way)

I hate flags in general, and honestly I wish they were really left for only obviously very egregious penalties. I hate the fact that I "cheer" flags when they are on the other team like they are a great play or something. (Sometimes they are great plays though, like catching them quick with 12 men or something)

Too much talk about the refs (especially when you lose like Jets, Bills, etc do) just wrecks the game for me. Do you really think the game is fake? The game is real and real teams go out and beat other teams. SOme of the rules and penalties suck.

BTW.. Worse example ... for every huge play, announcers and fans are like "Where's the flag?" or "There are no flags on the field!!!" That part sucks to me. I remember when the Sox won the world series in 2013. I forget the guys name who the mid to late inning home run in game 6 to give the Sox a decent lead in Fenway in the clinching game.. But it was a really exciting situation and at bat (as exciting as baseball can get) and when he hit the homerun I said to my son, imagine if an umpire could throw a flag right now for something right after this home run and they have to go back like it did not happen. What a downer that would be.. That is the only thing that really bothers me about the NFL. When we got called for roughing the passer in 1976 against Oakland that call was generally ridiculed at the time as pathetic call. Horrible call... If you look at it, today it would definitely have got called automatically.

Gene Steratore is very good. Refereeing runs through his veins through and through. When he is "not busy" he refs college b-ball games. b

Gene Steratore to work Monday night game

Which is good by me. He's one of the very few refs in the league that I think is a) honest, and b) competent.
