I read this on Footballminds.com

24 Jeff Samardzjia
WR
(Notre Dame) Weis tells Belichick Samardzjia will give up baseball to play wide receiver for the Patriots.

The best mock I've seen by far was by a Redskins fan who had the Pats shipping both of their #1's to the Skins so they could draft Calvin Johnson the WR from GT. UMMMMMMM ya I can see BB & SP trading all the way up to take a WR. LOLOLOL!

the first is funny. Has anyone drafted a baseball player since Elway?

Calvin Johnson is not so funny. If we were re-sign TBC, Seau and Samuel, and pick up a veteran linebacker, all of a sudden a top wide receiver like Johnson or Jarrett might tempt bb and pioli. Much depends on how they now view Chad Jackson, and whether they can extend Caldwell and Gaffney.

wasnt Dillon a baseball player?
Corey was drafted in the 34th round of the 1993 Major League Baseball free agent draft by the San Diego Padres as an outfielder.

Gostkowski also played baseball but dont think he got into the draft deal like Shark did

theres players who do that but i think Shark is overrated as was Stovall and plus i want a guy whos 90% commited to football at least

Jarrett scares the hell out of me. He has talent but he seems like a Reggie Williams type who might have a ten cent head.

I cannot see the Pats trading up using two first rounds and putting all their eggs in one basket.
