"Everyone in our organization wanted Wes Welker back," Kraft told reporters. "Anyone who doubts that, or thinks we weren’t serious, just doesn’t get it. Like I’ve said many times, I really wanted Wes to be with us through the rest of his career, but it takes two sides to do a deal. I really believe in this case, his agents misrepresented what his market value was. When you come right down to the bottom line, he accepted a deal in Denver which is less money than what we offered him."
Huh? I don't understand what he's even saying.
Funny but I hate that word.Woody has gone full ******. You NEVER go full ******!
Hopefully this just makes their punishment that more harsh.
It's funny. When I read Kraft's quote about Revis I thought, "wow, wouldn't it be funny if the Jets filed tampering charges"?The difference in the Pats and Jets statements along with the timing are plainly different. The Jets are dumb but I doubt they're dumb enough to honestly think they have point. They're probably trying to muddy the waters and mitigate the punishment coming their way.
IIRC there's something in the by-laws about throwing around obviously bogus accusations and filing frivolous charges. So I hope you're right.
Who is the bigger idiot, Woody for filing this joke of a charge of Mheta for thinking its the best thing ever?
The Jets filing a charge could be a tactical move in addition to simple retribution. Should the league decide that the Jets ought to be punished for tampering with Revis, it would be harder to make that determination without also now reprimanding New England.
Some, perhaps including the Jets, have felt that New England's charge was both petty and needless, especially after Johnson quickly phoned Kraft that same day to apologize and assure the Patriots owner he did not mean to interfere. However, the league clearly is taking the matter seriously: the News previously reported the NFL sent an investigator to the Jets' facility on Sunday, March 8, to question front office members about the pursuit of Revis. That came during the league's legal three-day legal tampering period, but Revis was not a free agent yet because the Patriots had not yet declined the cornerback's 2015 option.
And you're a biased, ridiculous Patriots fan asking for the league to hand the Pats the sixth pick in the draft.
I'm not the idiot here.
metha.. woody is just trolling the patriots and/or goodell, but that moron of a reporter thinks it's some type of genius move, I want to tell myself this guy cant be that stupid but it really appears that he can't figure out the difference between the tampering and the trolling. How the hell did this dumbass get a job as a reporter?Who is the bigger idiot, Woody for filing this joke of a charge of Mheta for thinking its the best thing ever?
